Chapter 8

"(Y/n)?! Oi! (Y/n)?! What the hell is wrong with him?!" Grim asked as he watched (Y/n) slowly break down. "How should I know?! Shouldn't we focus on the flying bushes?!" Ace exclaimed as he gestured to the chaos around them. "(Y/n)! Come one! We don't have time for this! We're in serious trouble!" Deuce exclaimed, trying to snap him out of it.

"Cease immediately, Mr. Rosehearts! Any further attempt to use magic will leave your Magestone completely tainted with blot!" Crowley warned, in an attempt to calm Riddle down. "But... I'm right! I'M the one who's right! There is NO! POSSIBLE! ALTERNATIVE!!" Riddle screamed angrily. "Riddle! Stop!!" Trey cried out, but he was already too late.

With a bright flash, Riddle's clothes transformed into a black and white dress. The dark aura flowing out of him snapped (Y/n)'s attention to him. His pupils widen as all he sees is a cursed user with a large curse floating behind him. While to everyone else, they see Riddle, standing in front of a strange creature, similar to the one they met in the Dwarf's Mine.

"Heh heh heh... AH HA HA HA!!" Riddle laughed crazily, too far gone to listen to reason. "We need these collars off now! Before we all get killed!" Ace exclaimed as he gripped his collar. "Dear me, what have I done? I've allowed a student to Overblot in my presence!" Crowley cried remorsefully, despite having done nothing to stop it.

"Deuce!! Look out!!" Ace called as the monster behind Riddle picked up a massive rose tree and swung it down at Deuce. "AHHH!!" Deuce screamed, closing his eyes in anticipation, unaware that (Y/n) was running right for him. Just before the tree hit him, (Y/n) tackled him to the ground and somersaulted away.

"Huh? I'm alive?" Deuce questioned as he was set down. "Fushiguro, stay there, I got this" (Y/n) said confidently as he stood in front of Deuce. Before he could open his mouth, (Y/n) had taken off, aiming right for Riddle. "My cursed energy isn't working for some reason. Doesn't matter, I'll just use brute force to take out the main source!" (Y/n) planned as he jumped out of the way of the rose tree.

"(Y/n)! Are you crazy?! You'll get killed!!" Grim exclaimed as he gripped his face in horror. "We have to help him somehow," Ace said as he looked around, not knowing how to be of help. "You three stand back, we will help," Cater said as he stepped forward. "We are the only ones without collars, so we will do what we can," Trey said as he stood next to Cater.

"You two got this, I will evacuate the students, as they are my top priority," Crowley proclaimed to the group. "HIYYAAAH! TAKE THAT!" Ace exclaimed as he tossed a large rock at the curse. "Over here, you big monster!" Deuce yelled as he tossed a rock as well. This caused the monster to miss its target and stumble back in confusion.

"Go for it (Y/n)! We'll distract the monster!" Grim called as (Y/n) briefly glanced behind him. "Kugisaki... Fushiguro..." (Y/n) muttered, looking at Ace and Deuce, with a grateful look. "I trust you both!" He exclaimed with a thumbs up, before focusing back on his fight. He narrowly avoided another attack from the "curse" and got closer to Riddle, punching him in the jaw.

"Ooo, right in the face," Deuce said with a slight wince. "What are you three doing?!" Cater exclaimed with an alarmed look. "Hello? We're helping (Y/n), obviously. Even if he's out of it, he's not giving up. So neither should we!" Grim exclaimed as he pointed to (Y/n) with his paw. "We might not have powers, but we can still help," Ace said with a proud smirk while gripping a rock.

"All right... Let's do this, I will help you guys out" Trey said, looking a bit unpleased with the idea. "Headmage, please evacuate the other students" he ordered as he walked forward. "Are you S-R-S, Trey? You can't beat Riddle!" Cater argued as (Y/n) jumped backward, right before the rose tree hit him. The "curse" is trying to gain distance, knowing Riddle isn't a close-distance fighter.
