Chapter 18

They have been traveling for hours, and so far it's been nothing but sand. "Admit it, you got us lost" (Y/n) grumbled in their shared mind, as he allowed Sukuna to continue their search for the school. "I will never admit shit," Sukuna grumbles. "That's it, we're refinding that mirror, I don't want to die in a stupid desert," (Y/n) huffed as he took back control. "Now which way do we go to find the mirror?" He asked out loud, as he looked around for the mirror.

"Good luck finding it on your own, dumbshit," Sukuna mutters, now leaving (Y/n) alone. "Hey! Don't leave me alone! You're the one who got me stuck like this! Coward!" (Y/n) exclaimed as he poked his cheek to irritate Sukuna. Sukuna did not come out, not even insulting the brat in his thoughts. "Sukuna? Sukuna! Fine! I don't need you anyway!" (Y/n) exclaimed, giving up on bothering the curse. Sukuna, being petty, does not answer (Y/n). (Y/n) grumbled under his breath as he started running back the way they came, to the best of his abilities.

Under the blazing sun, it wasn't long before (Y/n) started to get dehydrated. (Y/n) panted loudly as he walked up a sand hill. When he got to the top his legs buckled, causing him to fall right into the sand. He lay there motionlessly for a moment, debating if he even wanted to get up or just suffocate there. Sukuna immediately takes over, grumbling under his breath. "Take a rest brat, I'll get us out of here," Sukuna assures him.

"You're such a petty asshole," (Y/n) grumbled tiredly. "Says the same idiot who ignored me for two days because I ate the last rice bowl," Sukuna retorts. "That was my favorite rice bowl! I had every right to be angry!" (Y/n) argued loudly. Sukuna mocked (Y/n)'s words in a high-pitched tone while also making his hand speak.

(Y/n) took over his own hand and smacked Sukuna in the face. Big mistake. Sukuna enters his domain, causing (Y/n)'s body to flop onto the sand again, and promptly kicked (Y/n)'s ass, literally. He kicked (Y/n)'s ass and sent (Y/n) across the bloody floor. "Ow! You're lucky I'm too dehydrated to fight back! Or you'd be on the floor instead of me!" (Y/n) exclaimed as he struggled to get back up.

"Oh quit complaining," Sukuna waves him off. "Asshole, just get me to some water or something," (Y/n) grumbled as he sat up. Sukuna leaves his inner domain and takes over (Y/n)'s body. "What a spoiled brat," he huffs, walking along the desert. As he walked, he eventually spotted a pool of water, surrounding a large building. Sukuna lets (Y/n) take over so the brat will have something to drink.

"Huh? Why did you swit–" (Y/n) stopped himself as he spotted the water. "WATER!!" (Y/n) exclaimed dramatically as he stumbled towards the water, nearly falling into it. He happily splashed himself with the water and drank it too. While he was happily engrossed with the liquid, he did not realize the large crocodile heading his way.

"Thank you, god– OH SHIT!" (Y/n) yelled as the large crocodile lunged at him. Sukuna takes over and punches the crocodile in the throat, sending it back into the water. "I could've handled that," (Y/n) mutters unhappily. "You took too long," Sukuna retorts.

"Took too long?! That thing just lunged at me! What was I supposed to do? Instantly smack it?!" (Y/n) argued as the poor crocodile floated in the water, on its back. "Who are you talking to, all the way out here?" An unfamiliar voice asked as the sound of slithering broke (Y/n) out of his argument.

"Huh? Who said that?" (Y/n) asked as he looked around. "Sukuna? Was that you? You sound off," He asked the curse. "I swear I question why I am stuck with you every 0.5 seconds," Sukuna mutters under his breath. "You idiot, did that sound anything like me?" He snarkily asked.

"I don't know, maybe you came down with some kind of cold! Wait, can you even get a cold?" (Y/n) asked, now genuinely curious. "Over here~" The voice called, gaining (Y/n)'s attention. The first thing he noticed was the long snake tail attached to a human body. "Woah! It's a snake dude!" (Y/n) said in awe.
