Chapter 32

The sunlight broke through the curtains, hitting Grim in the face. Irritated, he tried to turn away, but a tight grip stopped him. Something was wrong. His brain slowly woke up, and his eyelids blinked the sleep away. "Huh...?" Grim muttered as he felt two large hands wrapped around him. A deep breath above him caused him to freeze.

Slowly he tilted his head and spotted the familiar four-eyed monster sleeping peacefully behind him. Sukuna's face is nose-deep in his fur, almost nuzzling his head. Grim's body started to shake involuntarily, now scared and anxious for when Sukuna finally woke up. He needs to find a way out now!

Feeling Grim shake, Sukuna believed Grim was cold and pulled him closer to warm him up. Grim let out a squeak as he kept still as much as possible, regretting sleeping in (Y/n)'s bed. Nothing seemed to happen for a moment as Sukuna seemed to get comfortable until (Y/n) let out a yawn and rolled away from Sukuna.

Sukuna's brain registered the movement. His brows furrowed in confusion as he can feel a body in his arms. Why were there two people in his bed? It should only be (Y/n). Without even thinking, he tossed the other body across the room and turned to face (Y/n), getting comfortable. Grim's body, unfortunately, caused a lot of noise as he let out a scream and woke (Y/n). "Who's there?!" (Y/n) exclaimed as he jolted up. "Nothing, go back to bed," Sukuna grumbles, not peeking his eyes open.

"He fucking tossed me!!" Grim exclaimed as he scrambled off the ground. (Y/n)'s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Why did you toss him off the bed?" (Y/n) asked as he looked down at the sleeping curse. "He shouldn't have been in our bed," Sukuna grumbles, now getting agitated because his sleep is being disturbed.

"Says the one who was cuddling me," Grim grumbles with crossed arms. (Y/n) shook his head at them as he attempted to slide out of the bed, but Sukuna was holding him quite tightly. "Can you like... Move your hand?" (Y/n) asked as he pushed at Sukuna's hands. Sukuna did the exact opposite and pulled (Y/n) closer. (Y/n) sighed but wasn't tempted to push Sukuna's buttons too much.

He's been annoyed because (Y/n) lost the Dance and Song competition by one vote. It did not help that the winning team did not even dance well! They were just a bunch of stumbling kids trying to dance poorly and a teenager trying to rally them. Sukuna would've snatched the money and trophy out of their hands and given it to (Y/n), who rightfully deserved it, but (Y/n) had to be a kind soul and stop him. Worst of all, the one who got them second place was none other than Rook, that snake.

"Alright, it's time to get up. There's a fair going on, and I want to go," (Y/n) said as he patted Sukuna's hand to get him to let go. Sukuna grunted, refusing to speak and not even moving from his spot. Let him sulk for a few more seconds. Sukuna holds grudges. He remembers holding a grudge for 1,000 years. Why? He doesn't remember, but if he held a grudge, it was for a reason.

"Oh don't be like that, it's not that big of a deal," (Y/n) retorted as he tried squirming out of bed. "You worked hard to win," Sukuna grumbles but lets (Y/n) go free. "I know and sometimes life isn't fair. They won because the audience adored them more," (Y/n) argued with a shrug. Sukuna groans, not wanting to hear any life lessons from (Y/n). But he does sit up, knowing that once (Y/n) gets up he will not be persuaded to go back to sleep.

"And where do you exactly want to go?" Sukuna asked, raising his brow. What does the brat have plans for now? "To the fair, of course, the school is hosting a small fair as an after-party of the competition. I've never been to one before and I wanted to check it out," (Y/n) said with an excited look. "Fine, let's go," Sukuna said, getting out of bed.

"You're going to love it, they'll have prizes, food, parades..." (Y/n) continues to talk Sukuna's ear off, listing all the fun things they can do. The only thing Sukuna paid attention to was food. Prizes and entertainment are fine, but food? Sukuna looks forward to that as long as it's nothing too sweet or sour.
