About a week after that, I was settled into my new home. My closet was full of my clothes, and I brought all my things. It was like I had lived there for a while. I met my father, and he was as caring and loving as my mother. Vic and Mike came to visit after everything was settled, and delivered some news.
"We're going to chill here while mom and dad go to enroll you in school," Vic said, throwing himself on the couch. "Don't worry, you're going to like it there. We had some great memories."
"It was bound to happen eventually," Mike said, catching the look in my eyes. "Hey, you'll make friends in no time. We felt close to you really quickly."
"But you're my brothers, you're supposed to say nice things."
"What are you talking about? I make fun of Vic all the time!" Mike joked. That made me laugh.
"I'm glad you guys are here," I thought out loud.
"And we always will be." Vic messed with my hair and laughed.
It wasn't long before our parents came home and told me when I would start school. I had a few weeks until I had to go back to a semi-normal life. I wasn't excited for school, but I was excited for a new school. Hopefully, I had a better experience there.
Once I had time to think more, I realized the tour was really over. All the fun that I had is over. The end of the road, if you will. I would soon start school with my last name enrolled as "Fuentes" instead of "Striker." That was going to take some getting used to as well.
I had three weeks ahead of me until reality kicked in. My reality is better than it used to be. I guess that's a plus. I used to be an obsessive girl that loved band members and listened to music too much. Now, I had met my idols, and am related to two of them. What a twist in everything.
So, this is where my story officially ends. The story of finding who I truly am. I was glad that I knew now, because I was tired of pretending.
Don't be sad that my story is over. Just know that everything will be good with me. Eventually, I'll tell you my tale of how my new school goes. But, who knows when I'll have time for that.
Remember: all good things must eventually come to an end...
