Soon, the park's playground slowly rose up in front of me. I was here. My mom had told me she gave my brothers a picture of me, so they knew what I looked like. Maybe they'd come to me. I decided to sit on the park bench and wait.
About 15 minutes passed. Nobody came near me. Children gave me looks and ran from me. Maybe my brothers were like these children. Maybe they decided I was too weird for them.
"Hey, freak!" a familiar voice shouted.
Oh god. I knew who that was. This guy had been bullying me for years. Trent Gaine. He wasn't the most popular guy in school. But he was popular enough to get away with anything. I didn't look up from the ground. It was best to ignore him. Maybe he'd go away.
I thought too soon.
"Loser! Can't you hear me talking to you?" He was even closer to me now than he was. "Quit being a coward and face me." He was standing in front of me. He pulled my face up and forced me to look him in the eye. He saw that I was scared."That's better."
"What do you want?" I spoke quietly, hoping he wouldn't hear me.
That made him mad. He grabbed me by the shirt. "Speak up, freak. Mumblers make me mad." He lifted me off the bench and threw me to the ground. The pain shot through my entire body. I lifted my hand to my head and felt...blood?! I looked at my hand.
It was just sweat. I was nervous and scared. No one was going to help me. My brothers weren't showing up. I was completely alone...
"Alright." He sat down next to me. "We both know no one's here to help you. But this is your chance to call for help. I'll give you 5 seconds." I screamed. He covered my mouth and laughed. "You actually thought someone would help you?" I tried to nod. "I'm done talking now." He lifted me off the ground...and threw me back down, harder than the first time. I started to feel dizzy. He kicked me and walked off.
Then everything went black....
