Pierce the Veil Fanfic

Part 9:

I awoke to Vic calling my name. “...up. Rene, wake up. Rene?"

“Huh?" My vision was still a bit blurry, and I sounded as tired as I felt. I didn't get much sleep last night. I kept waking up in the middle of the night. I heard Mike in the other area.

“Here," he said. “Give her this." My full vision returned as I saw Mike hand Vic a Monster. I climbed out of my bunk, and thanked them both. “How'd you sleep last night? Besides the nightmare." My mouth was full of Monster, so I couldn't answer. I decided not to tell him that I couldn't sleep much as I swallowed the mouthful.

“I slept fine, thanks." I sat at the table with Tony and Jaime. “Are we in LA?" I asked, trying to change the subject.

“Yeah!" Tony said, excited. “We have all day to do something fun until the show at 8pm." Tony began explaining to me all the fun things they've done before shows. Jaime joined in, going over the memories while Mike and Vic smiled. “It's time we make memories with another person to laugh about it with. But, I'm sure you've had a lot of great memories with concerts." I looked down at my half-empty Monster.

“What's the matter, Rene?" Vic asked, sliding into one of the chairs.

“Nothing, it's just...I've never actually been to a concert before." Everyone gasped. Jaime started making dramatic sobbing noises while Tony went into a speech about how great concerts are and how everyone should have a chance to go to one, followed by him patting my hand and saying “you poor, deprived soul". Vic laughed, which made me start to smile.

“Then we are proud to be the first band you see live," Vic said. “So, Rene. Since you've obviously never truly lived," he joked,“where would you like to go before the show?" I shrugged and gave a half smile. “Oh, come on!"

“We could stop by Warped?" Mike suggested. “Sure, we're not playing, but we could still hang out with the bands. Would you like that, Rene?"

“I've always wanted to go to Warped Tour!" I squealed, over-excited. They all smiled.

“Alright! To Warped we go, then!"
