Part 5:

"So, we're kind of in the middle of a tour right now. We were lucky to get a break, so we could get a chance to find you," Mike said, bringing me a can of Monster. He opened it and said,"I thought you could use the energy."

"Thank you." I smiled and took a drink. I felt my face light up. "My favorite flavor!"

"No way? That's the only kind we get. It's all of our favorite flavor, too," Jaime explained. I drank some more, and started to feel better.

"Why did you let that guy attack you, anyway?" Mike asked. Even though we had just met, he had already started to sound like any older brother would.

I shrugged and said,"I'm used to it." I took another gulp of Monster. I started to feel uncomfortable, because I don't usually talk to anyone about my bullying issues, and no one ever asked how I was.

This was the first time anyone asked about it, and it made me feel very welcome in a way. A small part of me already felt like family...
