The first time Aemond sees Lucenys she is a baby a few days old.

Her older sister had given birth in Red Keep, her insults to the midwives echoed through all the halls for hours until they ceased as a baby's cry echoed through the place. The king and Ser Leanor were the first to see the baby.

Listening as the king praised the baby's gray blue eyes, rang in the court.

Arryn eyes. Eyes of a dead queen.

Aemond saw his mother with a sour expression as she looked at the baby and muttered, "Another bastard." "How dare she."

It was on the fourth day that Aegon, Helaena and Aemond saw the baby. His sister had a soft smile and still in her comfortable bed as she cooed to her new baby, the king took them to meet her.

"Her name is Lucenys," Rhaenyra said, motioning for them to take a closer look. Aemond leaned in a little.

She was draped in soft peach silks with white lace. Some brown locks peeked out of her white cap, she was asleep with a soft expression.

"She was born with abundant hair," commented the king.

"At least we know that Nys will have nice hair," Rhaenyra replied. Helaena walked over to the baby and pecked one of her plump cheeks.

-Snow. Snow. Snow-Helaena murmured caressing the cheek.

Aegon stood on the edge of the bed and Aemond took a closer look at Lucenys, her skin a slight pinkish tint, looking smooth to the naked eye.

The baby opened her eyes and saw a pretty blue.

Aemond was upset when his nephew brought a pink pig. Aegon laughed out loud.

How could I be such an idiot and believe that I would have a dragon?

Lucenys was indignant and pushed Jacaerys away before doing so with Aegon, who landed on his own behind.

Nys, approached him and clung to his arm. Aemond bristled at Lucenys's touch, but stroked her wavy hair gently. She looked up and Aemond looked into her big blue eyes.

"Princess," a septa said, entering the place with Ser Steffon at her side, "we must return to the palace, we have your classes and you need to clean yourself up."

Lucenys looked at her hands, noticing a bit of soot. Aemond took out a handkerchief and wiped away some of the ash that fell on his cheeks when Jacaerys's dragon burned the goat. She laughed a little at the gesture.

Lucenys left holding hands with her Septa, but not before pointing to Jacaerys and saying: "I'll tell mom what you did!"

Aemond walked towards the garden where the forest of the Gods rested. Aemond was good at listening, and the whispers that Rhaenyra suggested a marriage between Helaena and Jacaerys, but Mother rejected it.

Why didn't his sister consider a marriage between him and Lucenys?

Both had Targaryen blood, as tradition dictated Aemond would marry Lucenys to keep the dragon blood as clean as possible.
