Lucenys did not expect to receive a marriage proposal.
The concept of marriage was linked to her memory as a duty she had to her family. She said that she would be Aemond's wife under the order of her grandfather.
But a man looked at her as if she were a star and promised her that he would take care of her.
Lucenys felt her stomach tighten.
Stark offers his brother protection and an army. Victories in war are built through marriages.
So Lucenys would give his hand and her womb for her mother's victory.
"Are you sure about this, Nys?" Jace asked as she embroidered in her room. Septa Yunet handed him a cup of tea.
"Brother, I am no longer a maiden," Lucenys replied. "I'm used up. This marriage will help my mother."
"Princess...". Septa Yunet speaks.
"Shall we see the fabrics?" Lucenys asked, looking at the fabric of her dress, a Velaryon blue. "Jace will leave in four days, and he will leave Winterfell after I am married. I do not want a maiden's cloak."
"You must have a maiden's cloak."
"No!" she screamed, remembering how Aemond took her virginity against her will. Wearing a Maiden's cloak would be a disgusting lie.
"Okay, princess." Yunet rubbed her arms calming her. "No Maiden Cloak. Better concentrate on your wedding dress, Lord Stark will bring two seamstresses to work on it as soon as possible."
Lucenys nodded as she fixed her hair.
"The Vale is already in our favor," Jace said, sitting near the fireplace. "The Manderlys welcome Joffrey. He will be Lord Manderly's ward and it will be good for him to get to know his fiancée."
"That's good," Lucenys approached. "Kyra is a lovely girl. They will get along wonderfully."
"And let's hope there aren't any evil squirrels attacking Joffrey," Jacaerys said mockingly. Lucenys blushed embarrassed looking at her embroidery.

Sara was reviewing the preparations for her brother's wedding. Secretly, she was working two-handed with the Septa of Lucenys on the Maiden's cloak.
"The new maester will be here in three weeks," said Cregan, reviewing some papers. Due to the speed of the event, only a handful of noble houses from the north will come, and it will be used to discuss the war plan with the prince.
Sara shook her head, instead of celebrating the joy of a wedding there was talk of war.
"He also writes to the Manderlys," she continued. "The Septon will come on horseback. He will be here just for the wedding, tell the stable boy to prepare a room for him."
"A Septon?" Sara asked.
"Princess Lucenys is devoted to her gods," Cregan replied. "First we will be married in front of the Weirwood by my gods and the Septon will bless us in the hall of Winterfell."
Sara smiled at her brother, taking into account the princess's southern gods.
"And with our marriage documents before the Seven, the Greens will not have a blind spot to consider our marriage invalid," Cregan added.
"Very good thinking brother," Sara congratulated him. "So One-Eye becomes even crazier."
Sara looked at her brother seriously.
"What if we build those giant Scorpions? If Dorne took down a dragon and its rider, we could do the same in case One-Eyed One decides to come to Winterfell," Sara suggested.
