Lord Manderly received them very gladly in New Keep. While Jace fulfilled his duty as her heir and made an alliance with the lord of White Harbor, Lucenys was in her room resting from the last stormy days.

The first night on dry land, she had a nightmare.

Aemond.

She again remembered that night in King's Landing, where Aemond hovered between her legs, abusing her again. His rough hands squeezing her legs and her crying asking him to stop.

The memory of his seed being spilled all over her as he called her his wife made his stomach turn.

Lucenys woke up with a hand on her beating heart.

At breakfast, Jace obtained Lord Manderly's 3 million ships, promising Joffrey to Lord Manderly's daughter of equal age.

The Velaryon fleet combined with that of the Manderly ensured at Rhaenyra's side a solid fleet against the greens.

"A gift for my future good sister," Lucenys said, handing her her pink pearl earrings. Kyra Manderly blushed as she took the earrings.

"You are very pretty. Your eyes look like two sapphires," the girl replied and Lucenys tensed at the mention of sapphires. She would never forget how Aemond's sapphire glowed as she was raped.

"Thank you, sweetness," Lucenys smiled, hiding her fear between nice words and courtesy.

Breakfast was extensive, Lord Manderly was a man who liked music and brought bards to sing. Lucenys being the one who showered them with praise in the melodies.

When finished, Lucenys went to the Sept of Snow, lighting candles for the Seven Gods.

To her mother and the warrior for protection of her family.

To the maiden and the old woman to give him courage.

To the father and the blacksmith to guide his path

And to the Stranger, to take Aemond Targaryen from this world.

"We'll fly straight to Winterfell," Jace told the small entourage. "Septa Yunet will ride in a carriage with Ser Nostorn and Lucenys' trunks. My sister and I will ride in a dragon."

"Take care my girl." Septa Yunet kissed Lucenys' forehead. "See you in three days."

"Thank you Septa." Lucenys took her Septa's hands, kissing them and placing them on her forehead. A sign of respect towards women, who, like her mother, were always there for them.

Jace helped her onto Arrax, adjusting the straps on her thighs and then he climbed onto Vermax.

Flying on their dragons, they set out for Winterfell.

Cregan stood in front of the gates of Winterfell, a wolf fur cloak draped over his shoulders, beside him was Sara wearing soft, warm furs.

The small entourage he commissioned to keep Princess Lucenys company at her asylum in the North arrived last night.

Two dragons landed on the outskirts of Winterfell and the entire staff gathered in the courtyard to welcome the princes.

The Targaryens were said to be impressive, and while both princes in front of him did not have the typical traits of the dragon family, they were impressive in his own way.

The prince of Dragonstone was almost as tall as him, wearing a thick black cloak with a brooch emblazoned with the three-headed dragon.

Cregan lost his breath when he saw Princess Lucenys Velaryon.
