Lucenys woke up thanks to Septa Yunet lightly touching her shoulder.
She had not been able to fall asleep for two reasons; the first, her ankle, she had to sleep on her back and with a pillow supporting her injured foot, and the second, Aemond.
Even with her injured foot, she had attended her fiancé's welcome dinner. Dinner was tense and with deadly looks. Lucenys tried to be as cordial as Septa Yunet taught her.
She asked about the king's health.
"The king is well," Aemond said. "There are whole days that he stays in his room, but the Maesters are taking care of him"
At the end of dinner, Kepa helped her to her room where Missy and Sarai (her trusted maids) changed her into a nightgown and stoked the fire in her fireplace.
"It's time to wake up princess," said Septa Yunet helping her sit up. "We must prepare you for the day, since you will be in bed for a week, we will adapt your lessons for your comfort"
Missy and Sarai came in with water in bowls to help her with her cleaning.
Wetting linen rags rubbed her body and helped her put on a simple pink dress. Since she would be in her room, it was not necessary to wear jewelry, but she saw the charming snowflake necklace that Cregan gave her, so she wore it just for herself.
"Prince Aemond has requested to break his fast with the princess," Sarai said. "And since your ankle needs rest, Princess Rhaenyra has requested that your meals be served in your room."
"Will Aemond have breakfast here?" Lucenys asked scared, looking at her Septa.
"Don't worry, my sweet," Septa Yunet caressed her cheek, "Your lady mother will also be here with Prince Joffrey."
Lucenys was able to breathe easy.
Sitting in a comfortable chair with a couple of cushions, she watched as the maids prepared the table, freshly baked breads, fruits and other things.
The first to arrive was Mom, who was carrying Joffrey in her arms. As restless as a goat, he was taken out of her arms and clung to Lucenys's torso.
"How did you sleep, my pearl?" Mother asked as she stroked her hair.
"Okay, mommy, my ankle is a little sore, but okay."
She smiled at her mother as Aemond entered the room, Lucenys quickly shifted her gaze to Joffrey who was looking at her new necklace in admiration.
She felt guilty when she saw the scar on his eye, a wound she made herself.
"Uncle, good morning," Lucenys greeted, smiling politely.
"Lucenys," he smiled at her. Lucenys blinked a few times.
Wasn't he mad at her for taking his eye?
Aemond greeted his sister and Joffrey. The maids served everyone breakfast. Every two minutes Aemond asked her something.
How have you been?
How about White Port?
Have you seen any wolves?
"I haven't seen that necklace before," Mother pointed out and Lucenys blushed.
"It is a gift from Lord Stark," Lucenys replied, looking at her mother with a smile, but when she looked towards Aemond she paled at his icy gaze at her necklace.

After breakfast, Aemond was invited to the library while Lucenys had her sewing lessons with the Septa.
