"Clay Calloway?" Buster asked eagerly.
"Yeah, I've found his home address!" Miss Crawly reported proudly.
"No way!" Ash said in disbelief.
"Yes way!" Buster countered.
"Miss Crawly, I'm gonna need you to go visit him first thing tomorrow."
"Oh," Miss Crawly said, ready to take on this assignment. "Yes, sir."
"You'll need to rent a car and take him a letter and, uh" Buster's gaze traveled to the big fruit basket Mr. Crystal had sent with the threatening note.
"maybe that fruit basket. Yes, that fruit basket.
You got that?"
Miss Crawly looked at the fruit basket with her non-glass eye. "Got it!"
The next morning, Klaus Kickenklober taught the battle number's dances to Johnny and the others in the scene.
Klaus wanted everyone to do the steps exactly the way he envisioned them, and wasn't at all happy when dancers made mistakes.
"and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight," the monkey snapped, demonstrating steps in front of the group.
"We're dancing, we're dancing.. " He froze in position. "We're holding, were holding.
The Mario brothers were watching as they were out in public in their costumes.
"Stay on point! Shuffle and hold!"
Johnny awkwardly tried to copy Klaus's moves but found it difficult. When he was supposed to freeze, he wobbled.
"I said hold!" Klaus barked, watching the dancers' reflections in the long mirror that stretched across the front wall. "Johnny, he's not holding, and one, two, three, four"
"What dance freak" Mario whispered to Luigi, they both chuckled causing klaus to glare at them both, then they went silence and scuffle away.
"All right!" Johnny said. "I am trying!" Klaus leaned right into Johnny's face. "Let's not forget- -this is Redshore City, not your little local theater! And five, six, seven, eight!"
"Hey" Mario says then Johnny tried the combination of steps again.
"Ryan, that was excellent," Klaus said.
"Johnny, you are doing it wrong! That was awful!"
Buster carefully danced his way through the group to Johnny, keeping in time with the frustrated gorilla.
"Come on, Johnny," he said encouragingly.
"You can do better."
"He's freaking me out!" Johnny admitted.
"Johnny-" Buster started to say.
"I'm trying!" Johnny insisted. Buster tried dancing alongside Johnny to encourage him, but that only made Johnny feel worse.
"And thrust!" Klaus said. "You're not thrusting, Johnny. Thrust! And thrust! Still not thrusting! Can you thrust, please?"
"Come on," Buster urged. "Thrust!"
Johnny rolled his eyes.
"Five, six, seven, and tippy-toes," Klaus continued.
"Tippy-toes. I don't see your tippy-toes. Can I see those tippy-toes?"
Johnny couldn't believe Klaus was actually telling him to get up on his tippy-toes.
How could this dance possibly be anything like a battle? "Oh, come on," he said. "He's havin' a laugh."
