There's a tag on everything
You me everybody
Life health hair and mind
Body and soul
All up for sale
For someone else
To use
To enjoy
To break
To fix
To do it all over again
No one cares
If I'm not thriving
We all live to survive
To spend money
On distractions
That become our leisure
Our pleasure
Our escape
We are owned
No one just lives anymore
There's a price to pay
For happiness
That price is all of me
And misery
The price is losing myself
The price is humanity
The price is all of us
Accepting it
And going along
As if nothing is wrong
And killing ourselves to exist
To work is to get paid
To get paid is to survive
To survive is to live
To live is to thrive
But we always stop before we get to the end
And we do it
Over and over again
There's a tag on everything
You me everybody
