[ALICE'S POV]

"BULLSHIT, GIDEON! HELP ME!" I called to him as we tried to slow down the dog-headed creatures. I swiped and slashed my sword as one of it tried to take me down. Gideon jumped and stabbed two cynocephalus at once. I wanted to use my new bow, but it's not meant for short range.

"We have to go to the house!" Gideon called to me.

"And bring Chris the trouble?" I haven't seen Hex yet. I was actually expecting him to be at the creepy church, but he wasn't there. Instead I met a gorgeous guy who is also a cousin-kind relative.

"Well, what else are we going to do? Dawn is breaking and we'll lose our way to the forest!" He called again. I grunted and kept the slashes coming. What does he mean by that? I don't want to bring this cynocephalus creatures near the house. My conscience is killing me. It wanted tp go to Chris too. Me might know a way to stop this.

"That's it, I'm running." I called out and spun my heels. I sprinted back where I came from, maybe knowing where to go.

"Alice! Wait!" Gideon called after me and maybe he ran too. I really do think that this is the right way. There were the trees before where I've heard creepy things. Yep, this is the right way.

"Alice! You might get lost!" Gideon called again, nearer this time. I stopped and turned. I was met by the momentum of his body and I flew back rather than falling back.

"OWW!" I screamed. Gideon rolled away, panting.

"You could've told me you'd stop." Gideon said, offering a hand. I took it.

"Okay, so where to?" I asked, brushing soil dirt away from my pants.

"Just straight ahead. Don't run or sprint, we jog. A fast paced jog. Then we're good." And then we jogged. Even though I could still hear the cynocephalus from behind us, we were losing them slowly. The jog felt endless and I'm worrying about Hex as time continues. I don't know where we're going, but I noticed that Gideon was taking the lead. I just followed him, quietly.

We finally made it to a clear area which is very familiar to me. We stopped and rested. We're near the house now. But I can't lead the cynocephalus there. I unslung the bow from my shoulders. I could hear them. I turned and notched an arrow. Gideon was beside me.

"You know how to do this?" he panted.

"Yeah, I think so." I honestly told him. I've never done archery before. But why do I feel like I know how to do it? After eight minutes, two cynocephalus appeared. I let go of the arrow and notched a new one, then let it go again. I both hit them. It felt easy. I repeated the procedures and saw that Gideon walked near and helped me. He agaim started slashing and stabbing. It felt like forever but it only actually took us six minutes to finish what remained of them. I was exhausted.

"That went well." Gideon walked towards me. I sat down and he did too.

"They wanted the key, right?" I asked him.

"What else do they want?" He said.

"Goddamit." I muttered as I saw a group of another goddamn creatures approaching us.

Then I remembered this place. This clear area. This is the one in Seth's dream. I felt dizzy all of the sudden.

"Alice?" Gideon asked. I blacked out.

"It's done! It's almost done!" I heard a voice from a nearby clearing. Maybe leaving Kate alone bleeding was a bad idea. I tiptoed my way around quietly as possible.
