Chapter 10: More Clues
Alice was waiting on Kate's front porch. Kate's dad wasn't home. So she had no other choice. She was lying on one step on the front porch stairs with her legs dangling like a couch potato, playing games in her phone, when she suddenly heard Kate's voice.
"Seriously?" Alice looked up, squinting a little, at Kate's demanding voice.
"Yeah. Your dad isn't home and the keys aren't here nor there. I had nothing else to do, so..." She shrugged then she went back on playing her game. Seth emerged from Kate's back.
"Hi, Alice." he said. Alice's head jerked up swiftly to the sound of the voice.
"Oh no. Nooooo way. Why the hell is he here? Wait, no." she held up a hand, "You're couples now right? Right?! KATE!?" said Alice, wide eyed.
"Alice, he knows about Dreamland too. And he had those dreams." Kate said to her, looking around.
"Ohhh." said Alice, sitting up, brushing her pants and pocketing her phone, "Can we go in now?" she asked suddenly. She's probably hungry, Kate thought. Seth looked at Alice, one brow up and smiling at her. Alice just made a disgusted face and looked at Kate. Kate shook her head.

"Man, your attic is so dusty and old." Alice said, once they stepped in Kate's attic.
"Well, it's an attic. What do you expect?" said Seth to Alice.
"She's rich and her attic is made of marbles. New-looking and absolutely dust-free." said Kate, pushing aside some useless obstacles. Alice looked at Seth and made a face at him. Seth just smiled and pinched her cheek.
"Eeww, don't touch me." said Alice, slapping and shooing Seth's hand from her face then proceeding to help Kate. Seth helped too.
"We should look for my mom's stuff." said Kate. Suddenly, Alice slipped and scrambled next to Kate and Seth. Alice pointed on the left corner of the room while she was whimpering.
"What is that?" Seth hissed.
"It's the shadow." Kate whispered. The shadow was standing behind three stacks of small boxes, pointing at them. Kate scurried and picked them up. The shadow disappeared.
"Come on, Kate. Make sure it's gone." said Alice, who moved behind Seth.
Seth smiled as Alice moved behind himi then looked at Kate with a questioning look, "So?" he asked.
"Well, the shadows pretty much guide us which one to pick. For clues probably. Since it pointed this one, this is out clue. And, well, I hope we could finally understand where to find it.", replied Kate.
"It?", asked Seth once again, confused.
"Dreamland, you idiot.", replied Alice from the back of Seth.
Seth once again smiled at Alice.
