Chapter 9: Another One
Kate and Alice spent the afternoon examining the map. Eventually, Alice's dad arrived home shortly and gave them food to eat. They kept on guessing places on where to find Dreamland. Alice also talked to her dad about Kate's dad. They seem to have a deal. Alice soon announced that Kate's dad would have a new job soon, as soon as their dads talked. They kept thinking about their moms for motivation that time. On what felt like forever, Alice thought about something.
"You know, I think we need to list a plan."
"Oh. Yeah. What do you have in mind?" asked Kate.
"Well, your mom told you that you have to find your brother, right? What if he knows where Dreamland is? He could just take us there."
"You do have a point, but where do we start?" Kate raised an eyebrow at her.
"I don't know. Does he a Facebook maybe? A Twitter? Phone number? Anything?"
"Well, we should find more clues. What do you think about coming over at my house tomorrow? After school? We could check the attic. My mom might left something about him there."
"Oh yeah, the attic. Hahahahahahaha." Alice said, sarcastically.
"Oh, come on. It wouldn't be that bad!" Kate smiled at her.

Kate arrived school early, already thinking of a plan. Alice arrived shortly after her. They thought out the whole day. They decided to talk about school and class subjects to relax themselves a bit. It was not until class dismissal that Kate felt anxious again.
"Oh, dear." Kate said, panicking a little.
"What?" asked Alice. Kate guided her eyes on the right, pointing at someone. Alice looked to where her eyes are pointing. It's pointing to a guy. Seth.
"Ooooh, you have a crush at him?" asked Alice, smiling maliciously.
"Stop it!" Kate hissed.
"Stop what?" Alice smiled and started jumping up and down.
"Umm, hey." It was Seth. He's standing next to Kate, scratching his brown hair. He looked good, but there's something in his eyes. Anxiety and fear.
"Are you gonna ask her out? Because I'm not gonna let you today." said Alice quickly and firm. Kate hit her arm. Alice smiled at her.
"Oh, no. I... Just need to talk to her. Please?" he asked Alice. She rolled her eyes.
"Ugh, fine. Kate, we have something to do today, remember?" said Alice. Kate moved closer to her.
"I know, whatever this is, maybe, I'll just hurry up. Can you wait at the front porch of my house? If my dad's home, knock and he'll let you in, okay?" said Kate. Alice shrugged and walked away. Late turned to Seth.
"So, what is it you want to talk about?" she smiled.

Seth took take at the school yard, where there is less people. He turned to her and looked at her seriously.
"What is Dreamland?" he asked,
plainly. Kate was stunned. Not another one, she thought. Not the one I'm having a crush on.
"It's-It's a place... How do you know about it?" asked Kate. Seth leaned a little forward. He's so tall, Kate thought.
"I had a dream last night. I don't know how to explain this, but... It was your mom. And I've heard that your mom was missing. And I got a little misguided. In my dream, she told me to help. To help you find your brother and Dreamland. And I said to her that I'll help you. Don't tell me that the dream isn't real, because I don't even think it was a dream. We talked in my bedroom. She woke me up." explained Seth.
"Oh." squeaked Kate. Not another one.
"So, mind telling me about this?"
"Oh, yes. My mom is missing, but she's alive. And yes, I do have a brother. And Dreamland. We have to find Dreamland too." said Kate.
"So, this is all true, then? Because if it is, we should start looking then."
"Believe me, we're trying." said Kate, smiling at Seth.
