"That's the wrong hat."

"Sorry, mlady." The Maid Frame walks back to the closet.

Commander Vess stares at herself in the mirror. She begins to say something but stops when the Maid hands her another hat.

"That's the one. Thank you."

The Maid Frame walks away, and Vess looks back at the woman in the mirror.

She looks at her many scars, but one was the most prevalent, the one over her right eye and down to her jaw.

It was from a shot by a Dredgen, one of her "sisters". Her Ghost couldn't heal it.

Looking down at her table, she looks at a framed photo, of her and her old mentor.

He was an old Hunter who fought in many great battles.

"He's gone now. Get over it." She tells herself.

She looks back up at the mirror, and begins pointing at herself in various ways.

"You look tough girl. Oh, thanks."

She pulls open her apartment door, straight into the Hall of Guardians.

Immediately, her assistant, named Eleanor approaches her.

"I have a murder."

"So what? Take it to the police."

"It was a Guardian murder."

Vess stops in her hastiness.

"What?"

"Two Hunters killed....they were carrying Thorns."

"So? They must've been Dredgens."

"The Shepherd, he captured this last night."

Eleanor pulls up a video on her tablet, showing it to Vess.

On the tablet was a photo of Pariah, running from the scene.

Vess glares at the picture.

"Pariah's here? In the City?"

"We might finally be able to close her case."

"Tell the Shepherd to meet me in the Armory."

In the early morning, Pariah runs through deep snow, towards her ship in the distance.

Dex was behind her.

"Just wait please! I want to talk."

Pariah wasn't falling for it.

"Shoot him!" Failsafe suggests.

"I...can't!"

"Then let me!" Failsafe reaches for Pariah's sidearm, but Pariah turns her off with a switch on the back of her head.

"Clank! Start the ship??!"

"Sure thing." Clank materializes and flies towards the ship.

Dex begins to catch up, and Pariah stops, jumping into him with her knife.

"Chill chill! I don't want to fight!"

"Stay away!" Pariah tries to stab at him.

Clank floats into Pariah's ship, past all the Vex parts and crates, towards the cockpit.
