(a/n: finally right)

--three months later--

"Sammie!" Michael cheered and ran to his younger sibling, hugging him tightly. "Guess what?" Samandriel could barely force a smile.

"What?"

"Here!" Michael exclaimed and handed Samandriel an envelope with his name written all fancy across it. He opened it carefully, making sure not to rip anything. Once the card was out, he inspected the gold trimming around it and read it, then reread it, then reread it again.

"Oh my God," he whispered, looking up to meet Michael's eyes, which were just as bright and excited as Samandriels were. "Oh. My. God."

"I know."

Samandriel read it again.

"Save the date!

Come celebrate the marriage of Michael Novak and Lucifer Pit."

"Michael," Samandriel whispered. "Your name is going to be Michael Pit."

"What makes you think I'm taking the last name?" Michael asked, raising a dark eyebrow.

"You top?" Samandriel asked, his eyes showing that his entire world was just shattered. "I owe Gabe three hundred bucks."

"You bet on- never mind. You're coming right?"

"Of course! I'm so happy for you!"

"Hey, where's Adam?" Michael asked, watching as Samandriel's eyes went sad.

"Uh..."

"Sammie, where's your ring?" Michael eyed Samandriel's hand, noticing the blank space where the ring normally would be. Samandriel looked down at it too. Without it, he felt so...bare. So empty.

No, nope, you're dating someone else, you're happy.

How long can this lie last?

"We uh...we split up," Samandriel said, putting the card down on Caleb's coffee table.

"What? Why?" Michael asked. He looked absolutely devastated.

"It just wasn't working out with the long-distance thing and all," Samandriel lied, because the long-distance thing was working out. He just didn't have to heart to tell Michael that he fucked another guy. "I'm dating someone else though."

"Already?"

"Yeah, he's upstairs. Wanna meet him?"

"Sure," Michael said, not so enthusiastic.

"Great. Wait here."

Samandriel went upstairs and walked into Caleb's room, where the older boy was laying down, playing on his phone. He walked over to him. Caleb looked up and smirked, before grabbing Samandriel's hand, pulling the shorter boy on top of him.

"You know what we should do?" Caleb asked, kissing along Samandriel's neck.

"We can't. Michael's downstairs," Samandriel whispered. "He wants to meet you."

"He can wait," Caleb murmured as his hand travelled down Samandriel's back.

"No. You can wait," Samandriel sat up, straddling Caleb's waist. "We can do this later. Mikey just really wants to meet you."

"Fine," Caleb murmured, sitting up, pressing his body against Samandriel's. "But later," he whispered in his ear, biting it gently.

"Later," Samandriel promised, before getting up. "Put a shirt on." He walked downstairs and smiled at Michael. "He's just getting dressed."
