"Hello?" Adam answered the phone groggily. He was just woken up from a nap when his phone rang.
"Adam, hi," Meg said into the speaker. "Listen, I just thought you should know something...it's about Sammie."
"What's wrong? Is he okay?" Adam asked frantically.
"He's fine, Adam. But he was on a...well, a date with this kid. And towards the end, they were standing outside the restaraunt...and they kissed," Meg explained.
"Ugh. There's this guy named Caleb that's been trying to get with Sammie forever-"
"Sammie didn't pull away," Meg cut him off.
"What?"
"He didn't kiss back but he didn't pull away. After the kid said something, he got angry and stormed off. I'm not trying to snitch, I just thought you should know."
"Thank you," Adam whispered.
"It's no problem. Bye."
"Bye."
Meg hang up and turned to walk away, only to be stopped by a figure.
"So we've got ourselves a little snitch," someone sneered. Meg turned on the flashlight on her phone and shined the light on the stranger. It was the kid Sammie was with earlier. She saw something glint silver in his hand - a knife.
"Don't get in over your head, now," Meg taunted, turning her phone off. "Something tells me you're not too experienced."
The boy scoffed.
"Right. And you are?"
"You listen here, you little shit," Meg spat, glaring at him in such a sinister way, his knees buckled. "I consider Sammie and Adam my family. Hurt them and I'll make sure that you never see daylight again, do you hear me?" Caleb shook.
"Y-yes."
"Yes what?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Good," Meg smiled. "Then we shouldn't have a problem. Good night, Caleb."
She turned and walked away.
"Wait...how do you know my name?"
She just smirked to herself and kept walking.

"Sammie..." Adam trailed off, leaving Samandriel anticipating what he was going to say next over the phone. "Meg told me."
"About what?" Samandriel asked.
"I can't...I can't do this if you're not being honest with me-"
"I am! I don't know...oh, shit," Samandriel whispered. "You mean...Caleb."
"Yeah. Meg told me that you guys kissed. And you didn't pull away."
"I was daydreaming. It shocked me was all," Samandriel sort of lied, it easily slipping through his teeth. "I pushed him away though."
"Meg told me."
"Adam," Samandriel's voice cracked. "I can't do this," he whispered, feeling the tears fall down his cheeks.
"What do you mean, Sammie?"
"I can't do this anymore, Adam. I'm so tired of waking up and dreading going on with my day. I just can't do this," Samandriel mumbled, tears stinging his eyes.
"Sammie..." Adam trailed off. "Are you saying that you-"
"I just want it to end."
Adam was silent for a moment, before sighing.
"Listen, Sammie. I love you, okay? I love you so fucking much that every time I think of you, I get butterflies. And shit, that sounds sappy, but I'm serious. You're like...the John to my Sherlock - because we all know it's canon. One time a man approached me on the street and asked me, 'What is it that you love most in your life?' My answer was you, Samandriel, you. I can't go a day without talking to you. The hardest part of this is being so far away. I just...if you leave me, Samandriel, I swear to God, I don't know what I'd do. I need you."
Samandriel burst into tears far before Adam finished. He had sunk to the floor and cried into his knees. This was just too much. He needed his Adam home.
"Sammie?"
"I'm sorry," Samandriel whispered. "I'm not perfect. You deserve someone who can deal with this long distance thing, because I can't."
"What are you saying?"
"I love you, Adam, I do, but..." Samandriel couldn't say anything. The words caught in his throat. "I just fucking miss you."
"I'll be home soon, baby."
"I know," Samandriel whispered, trying to get the tears to stop. "But it still feels so far away.
"Just think of this - when I get home, we'll go to that Chinese restaraunt you love. Then we'll get home and watch Frozen, okay?"
"Will we do the heart-around-the-moon thing?" Samandriel asked. Adam laughed.
"Of course we will. I love you, Sammie."
"I love you too."

Samandriel stared at the calendar. It was spring break. He'd get to see Adam again.
Samandriel sat on the couch, bouncing his leg as he stared at the blank TV screen and waited for the door to open.
He heard a key enter the lock and then it turn, unlocking the door. The door opened and Samandriel stood up, embracing his fiancé in a tight hug.
"Adam," Samandriel breathed into Adam's neck, causing the taller boy to shiver.
"Hey, Sammie-"
Before Adam could even get a word out, Samandriel fell back onto the couch, Adam falling on top of him. Adam giggled and kissed Samandriel's lips lightly.
"There are still some suitcases in the car," Adam murmured.
"Leave them. We'll get them later."
"Mhm," Adam hummed, kissing Samandriel's neck lightly. "But the couch is so uncomfortable."
"Ugh," Samandriel mumbled. "You're so picky."
"You're so needy."
Samandriel rolled his eyes and pulled Adam to their bedroom, falling back onto the bed.
"Are you ready now, your Majesty?" Samandriel sassed. Adam rolled his eyes, kissing Samandriel again, this time more passionately.
"God, I've missed you," Adam whispered as he kissed along Samandriel's neck.
"You're telling me."
Adam grinned and staring at Samandriel's face, memorizing each detail.
"What?" Samandriel asked, suddenly self conscious.
"You're just so beautiful," Adam whispered, his breath caught in his throat as he stared at Samandriel.
"Yeah, yeah," Samandriel muttered, rolling his eyes. Adam frowned and kissed Samandriel's forehead.
"Well, let's make up for lost time, shall we?"
And indeed, they did.
