"Bye, Sammie," Michael waved to his younger brother before walking out of the house, climbing into the car with his three younger siblings.
"It was nice to see Samandriel again," Gabriel said, staring out of the window of Michael's car.
"Yeah. He looks...happier," Michael commented.
"Probably Adam's doing," Castiel suggested, smiling lightly. "Samandriel was so depressed before Adam came around...its a miracle he's still alive, honestly. But now that he has Adam..." Castiel didn't need to finish. They all knew that because Samandriel had Adam, the boy was perfectly happy.
Michael smiled and pulled out of the driveway slowly, driving down the street at a slow pace, his mind still focused on his little brother. They stopped at a red light.
"I missed him," Gabriel murmured. "I'm glad we went to see him. I can't believe he's already engaged."
The light turned green and Michael pressed the gas pedal.
"Michael, look out!" Castiel cried as a car whose driver wasn't paying attention crossed the street, crashing right into the drivers side.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
It was antagonizing."Michael," Samandriel whispered. "Please wake up."
The pale boy just laid there motionlessly.
"Michael...please. I can't lose you. Not like I lost mom. You're still my family, Mikey. You're still..." Samandriel's eyes welled up with tears. "You're still my brother. And I need you to wake up."
But his eldest brother didn't say anything. All he heard was the drip drip drip of the IV and the heartmonitor beeping steadily."Please," Samandriel whispered. "I can't lose you. I'm sorry for being a dick to you since mom died. I'm sorry for leaving. Dammit, Michael, I said I was sorry, so wake up!"
The heart monitor sped up. Samandriel expected it to stop, but it just kept rising higher and higher, until he saw nothing but a flat line.
He was thrown by some doctor to the wall, and he curled up into a ball, trying to ignore the monster screaming at him through the heart monitor. It was a monster. Samandriel shielded his ears from it-
Samandriel bolted up from his bed and ran to the bathroom, emptying the contents of his stomach into the toilet bowl. And there he sat, crying his eyes out, trying to do everything in his power not to think about the nightmare again.
He sat up, washed his face and brushed his teeth before sitting back in his bed. His shirt now stuck to his chest with sweat, so he peeled it off and threw it God knows where.
Without thinking, he grabbed his phone and dialed that all-too familiar number. After a few minutes, the call was answered.
"Hello? Who is this and why are you calling me at two in the morning?" a groggy voice called from the other end.
"I-It's Samandriel," the young boy whispered and suddenly, the person on the other line's tone changed.
"Oh! Are you okay?!"
"I'm fine."
"Okay. I just didn't recognize your number. After dad kicked you out, he stopped paying for your phone bill, huh?"
"Yeah...hey, can we meet up?"
"Right now?"
"Uh...yeah."
"Okay. Sure. Meet me at the McDonalds right down your street."
"Okay."
