"So, Sammie..." a boy in one of Samandriel's classes drawled, standing in front of him. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes, and Samandriel was pretty sure his name was Caleb. "Do you think you can come over and help me study? You know we have that test after the break and I don't really get a lot of that stuff..."

"Sure," Samandriel replied, oblivious to the way Caleb's eyes were staring at him; like he was a piece of meat. "It's Caleb, right?"

"Yeah. So...do you just want to ride home with me?"

"Sure," Samandriel repeated, feeling hs phone buzz in his pocket. "Just let me take this call really quickly."

He pulled his phone out and answered it.

"Hello?"

"Sammie!" Adam called and Samandriel felt a smile slip onto his face. "Guess what today is?"

"Will you get mad if I say Friday?"

"No, because it is Friday! And guess where I'm gonna be in two days!"

"Wait. Let me guess," Samandriel joked and thought about it for a second. "Mexico," he replied seriously, causing Adam to laugh.

"No. I'm gonna be snuggled up to you and we're gonna be watching Frozen!"

"Adam, you know that movie by heart. And so do I, with you watching it all the time and making me watch it with you."

"Shut up, you love it."

"I'm still debating."

"You love me."

"Well, we are engaged, so...I would hope so," Samandriel joked, watching as Caleb's face contorted into a mix of jealousy and anger. Samandriel raised an eyebrow, confused. Caleb just shook his head.

"I'm so excited to see you! It feels like we haven't seen each other in like-"

"Years," Samandriel replied, his voice sad. "I know."

"I miss you. A lot."

"I miss you too. More than a lot."

"Well, I miss you to the moon and back."

"I miss you to Heaven and back."

"I miss you...all the way from the depths of Hell to the top of Heaven."

"You've made your point," Samandriel laughed. "I have to go, but I love you."

"To the moon and back?"

"All the way from the depths of Hell to the top of Heaven," Samandriel mocked and Adam giggled.

"I love you too, you cute weirdo."

"Love you. Bye."

"Bye."

Samandriel hung up and stuck his phone in his pocket.

"Sorry," he apologized to Caleb. "My fiancé called."

"I know," Caleb said through gritted teeth. Oblivious to Caleb's anger, Samandriel smiled.

"Alright. Let's go."

"So, what'd you need help with?" Samandriel asked as soon as they were at Caleb's house and sat on the couch, a bag of chips in front of them.

"Well..." Caleb trailed off, smiling at Samandriel. "I was thinking...you seem kinda cool and I just kinda wanted to hang out and get to know you better."
