** The case ended not so long after Gwen had left the hospital. Turns out Sarah confessed that her boyfriend practically forced her into causing fraudulent accidents for money. Both Sarah and her boyfriend were both convicted.
Gwen stood in the locker room changed into some nicer clothes for both Tim and Jackson's ceremony. Now that Tim was proven not at fault he was going to be apart of the ceremony. She had on a summer dress with a Jean jacket, and some light strap heels. She grabbed her purse and walked out of the station.
Gwens heels clacked against the pavement as she walked closer to her car. She spotted Tim who was leaning against her Jeep dressed in his uniform. He looked up at her hearing her heels against the pavement. He glanced at her from head to toe taking in her beautiful appearance.
"Gwen, uh you look beautiful" he said silently cursing to himself for stuttering. Usually he was never nervous around women but with Gwen it was different. Gwen smiled and glanced at Tim in his uniform "You're not to bad your self" she complimented.
Tim smiled and grabbed her hand "Listen Gwen, I'm sorry for ghosting you. It's just after Isabel I've had such a hard time with getting my self out there. I realized I messed up and I'm sorry. You're a great women and I like you. How about we go out to dinner tonight after the ceremony?" Gwen felt her heart race. He was the first man she would go out with since her ex boyfriend.
"I'd love that" she said, Tim smiled from ear to ear and squeezed her hand "We can talk about how Boston teams beat your LA teams" Gwen joked. Tim scoffed playfully as the two started to walk side by side to the area where the ceremony would take place.
"I'm intrigued to what you have to say" he said. Gwen laughed and stood next to Lucy giving her a small smile. Angela walked over to the pair "How did it go?" She asked referencing her and Tim.
Gwen smiled "Good we're going out to dinner tonight" Gwen said. Angela and Lucy looked at the detective with a wink "We can't wait to hear all about it" Lucy said.
Gwen pulled out her phone snapping pictures of Tim and Jackson with their plaques. Gwen made sure to get one of just Tim for her phone "Well congratulations to you both" Gwen said she was truly happy for both officers.
Jackson and Tim smiled "Thank you" Jackson said "Come on boot come buy me a beer" Angela said. Gwen laughed as she watched Angela and Jackson walk over to the food truck for alcohol.
"I just want to go and change out of uniform, and then we can go. Can you give me like 10 minutes?" Tim said. Gwen nodded and Tim walked inside the station to get dressed.
Gwen walked up to Nolan who was standing next to the same women from the hospital "Happy Birthday John" she said. Nolan looked over at Gwen and smiled "Thank you Gwen. Greatful to see another year".

Gwen sat across from Tim at this outdoor restaurant in down town LA. The sun was set and the sky was dark with the glistening specks of stars illuminating the sky. She took a few sips of her glass of white wine, while Tim was drinking a beer. The environment was peaceful, small chatter was heard throughout the restaurant, and simple music.
The date was going great Tim was a true gentlemen outside of uniform. He opened the door for her, held her hand and complimented her at every chance he got. He had this persona to him he was tough on the job but sweet outside of work. She liked that about him.
Tim realized that Gwen was nothing like Isabel. She was different, and he also recognized their age difference Gwen was 8 years younger then Tim but, yet she seemed so mature.
"I'm glad you gave me another chance" Tim said. Gwen smiled placing the wine glass on the table "I'm glad I did too. I'm having a lot of fun tonight" she said, she genuinely meant it. After her ex she had a hard time trusting men.
"Can I ask what really happened between you two?" Tim said he didn't want to over step a boundary but he truly wanted to know what happened. Reading a file was nothing compared to hearing the actual story. Gwen sighed everyday she thought about her lifeless body beaten on the floor of her living room waiting for help as her ex Jacob escaped before the cops arrived.
"We dated for 3 years, everything was going great . Until it wasn't Jacob lost his job and it was a lot of stress. I found out I was pregnant, I was so happy everything was great I was promoted to detective, and a baby on the way. I couldn't ask for more" she started to explain, she felt her chest tighten this was such a hard story to talk about "We ended up losing the baby after he beat me. It was my fault I should've reported it when it started happening but I didn't. Once they found him he was convicted of attempted murder, and murder of an unborn child." She finished the story looking down at her almost empty plate of food.
Tim look at Gwen he felt extremely upset for her, no one should've gone through what she did, especially the loss of a child. He would protect her no matter what.
"I'm so sorry Gwen, no one should have went through that. It's not your fault. When someone is in that mindset it's hard to come forward. But, look at you now you're so strong. " Gwen smiled and sniffed away the tears that were starting to form.
"Thank you Tim" he nodded and reached over caressing the back of her hand. He didn't want to bring up anything that could trigger her into being upset.
Tim watched as her big blue eyes would light up when she was talking about something passionate, and how her full attention was on Tim when he would talk about anything. She was different she was nothing like Isabel, she knew when to disconnect from work life and personal life.
They had sat at the restaurant for an additional hour going back and forth about Tom Brady and Geoff. Gwen had argued with Tim about the two quarterbacks. Until Tim was left defeated with the final argument.
Gwen had a great time as the two walked hand in hand towards Tim's truck.
"I had a great time tonight" Gwen said. Tim Nodded agreeing with her he felt young again the first date jitters were present as he debated his next move.
" I did too. We have to do this again" Tim said watching as Gwen's body leaned against his truck.
"I would love that. Thank you for taking me out" she said, she watched as his body went closer to her practically filling in the gap between them.
His hand placed against her cheek as the other arm rested against her lower back. Gwen closed her eyes leaning in towards Tim as the two shared a passionate kiss. Once their lips touched Tim could've sworn he heard Gwen gasped at the feeling making him smirk into the kiss prolonging the make out session.
Tim pulled his lips away from Gwen's plump ones already missing the feeling of hers on his. Gwen was loss for words still feeling the tingling sensation on her lips "That was nice" Gwen said hiding a blush as she looked down at her feet.
Tim laughed "Don't get all shy on me now. There's plenty of more of that" he said opening the door for her. Gwen giggled as she stepped inside the truck. This truly was the best date she's ever been on.
They went on a date and they kissed!!! Omg how do we feel!!!?
