It had been a week since the meeting.

Lizzie had only been in control of herself for the last three days. The demon had dumped her in some place in the middle of nowhere. She had been allowed to wander around, so she knew that she was somewhere in the swamp of the Evermoore, but she didn't know exactly where.

Wandering down the hallway for the thousandth time, Lizzie glanced at the door to the outside. If only she could just walk out the door and go home.

Raz would never let that happen, though. Even now she could feel them lurking in the corner of her mind, keeping an eye on her in case she tried to make a run for it.

The last few times she had tried to leave hadn't gone well. Lizzie had stepped out the door and sprinted for the forest, only for the demon to take control again and make her walk back. They didn't like it when she did that, and they had made it amply clear through several horrifying nightmares.

So she just walked around the small hut in the middle of nowhere and hoped for a miracle.

Circling the table, Lizzie sat down and stared at the papers scattered on it. She had been drawing blueprints for a new district for Animalia to distract herself from the current dilemma, and it wasn't going too badly.

The district's color would be pink, with roofs decorated in various shades, although Lizzie had spent quite a bit of time playing around with colors to make sure it didn't look too similar to the magenta of the Magical District.

She had drawn out the main centerpiece, a theater, to host plays and shows for anyone who wanted to attend, free of charge. It may be a bit expensive to build due to the nether star decorations, but it would be worth it.

Lizzie ignored Raz telling her that it would never happen, and began planning out the streets and houses alongst it.

A few hours passed, and Lizzie paused as she heard something crash in the distance. Thunder rumbled, and Lizzie sat there, uncertain of whether or not to try and see what it was.

On one hand, she really wanted to check it out and maybe escape, but on the other hand, Lizzie knew the demon wouldn't let her leave the hut, and she really didn't want to have another nightmare.

She uneasily kept on drawing, glancing at the door every so often.

The thunder turning into a full on rainstorm, winds lashing the house and lightning flashing every few minutes. The storm had come out of nowhere, but Lizzie didn't mind it. She liked thunderstorms, it reminded her of her love.

Lizzie had liked the god of Stratos for as long as she could remember, ever since they had met when she went to go investigate the rumors of a new empire to the southwest. People had been talking about a young man who suddenly gained the powers of the sky, declared himself a god, and left his home kingdom of Chromia to start a empire of his own, called Stratos.

She had been surprised when she arrived at the approximate area and saw Stratos for the first time; she had though it was just gossip someone had incorrectly spread. After all, how does one person, godly powers or no godly powers, create an empire in a few weeks?

But there Stratos stood, filled with life and power and a very handsome man who called himself Joel and wielded the power of the skies.

She had liked him ever since, but she had never done anything to initiate a relationship. Lizzie knew that he liked her too, and she was fine with waiting for Joel to ask her out.

However long that would take him... although now it may not ever happen, since she had almost killed him while possessed by Raz. Joel must hate her now.

The thunderstorm was no longer comforting, and Lizzie got up to pace, too agitated to sit still.

She ignored the furrows in the wood where her hands had been resting, and began to walk back and forth across the small room, touching the wall each time she got to it. The storm only got more and more ferocious, and Lizzie began to worry about the house blowing down from the sheer strength of the wind.

This storm doesn't seem so normal... Lizzie though with mild concern. Crossing over to the window, she peered out of it, trying to see through the rain pouring down from the heavens.

She was so preoccupied with trying to see out the window that she didn't notice the purple energy in the room until it hit her from behind.

For the second time in as many months, something entered her mind and forced it's way past her walls, although this magic thing seemed nicer than the demon, whispering apologies as it broke her mental shields and crashed into her inner thoughts.

Lizzie collapsed, hands going to her head as it began to feel like it was being split in two from the magical battle going on inside. The new energy attacked the darkness the demon had left, and the shadows retaliated, fighting and clashing inside her mind.

She would have screamed, but she found she couldn't move anymore. The demon was partially in control, keeping her from moving, although the purple magic was trying to forcefully pry them out of Lizzie's mind.

The purple magic began to win out, and Lizzie writhed on the floor as the demon released her and fled, leaving only the kinder magic in her mind, although it quickly receded too.

The agony left with them, and Lizzie began to fade out of consciousness as lightning cracked nearby, and footsteps urgently approached her.

Lizzie was barely awake as someone gently picked her up, and familiar voices argued, before the purple magic came back, more soft this time, urging her to rest.

As everything went black, Lizzie finally recognized one of the voices she had heard, and understood the storm that had come out of nowhere.

    Joel had saved her.
