Hello cheries,
I really hope all of you are great. I don't know how many of you are be here, but if you are then I'm glad.

Well this story has been in my drafts for so long but I had wanted to complete the one I was already writing, but today I just thought why not post a chapter and wait and see.

Moreover, it's not like any of you is gonna find it before I have many more for you. You'll be taking your time finding this, maybe my other one would be complete till you discover this.

And at last I just hope that you'll like it, and if you do please remember to vote and comment, I'll really appreciate them.
Thank you🌹

"Did he really leave? "
"I can't believe someone would do that. "
"What did the poor girl do to be left like that. "
"What do you think they'll do now? "
The whispers stopped when they saw me coming in the direction. It wasn't something new. The looks they were giving me was all I received from the time I left my room. Pity, mockery, judgement in their eyes for me, for something I didn't even do. That's all these people can do. Stay in their places and pass comments and judgements. They can't step forward .

Seeing me reach the ground floor everyone turned towards me, "Adhya, what are you doing here? You were not supposed to leave the room. " My best friend Shreya came towards me first,
"He left right? "
"Adhya.. "

"Aradhya, what the hell are you doing here. Go back to your room. "
A voice boomed with authority and anger, anger directed at me for just simply leaving my room. Ha, it's still funny. Getting the brunt of this man's anger because he can't vent it in it's place.

" What should I do in my room? " I wasn't backing down, not today.
"Wait till we call you. " He said, his softening thinking I agreed.

"Why? He already left. Why should I wait? " There wasn't a speck of emotion in voice, and I think it infuriated him further.

"Aradhya, do as I say. "

"And then? For how long. It's not like you can find another groom now. "

"Shut up. That's upto me to decide. If I decide a wedding happens then it does. Just get back and wait until you are called. "

Shreya flinched at his tone, the anger evident on his face.

"Alright, I'll wait and see who you can find for me, Papa. " And without giving him a chance to say anything I left, with Shreya at my tow. The only regret was not seeing his reaction to the word. It still seems foreign to me. But he just had to provoke me, how can I not reply.

That's right, that man downstairs is my biological father or just another person on earth who happened to donate his sperm for me, Mr. Ashutosh Sinha. And wedding, yeah it's my wedding. And as you heard the groom left. At the very least he left before coming to the mandap or it would've been real bad. I had seen this coming, I told that man this too. But he just had to be adamant that nothing would go wrong. Well good luck to you Mr. Sinha, for finding a new groom at such a short notice.

Entering my room I sat on my bed, "Adhya, are you ok? "
"I'm fine shree. " She was the only one who would ask that.
" You know you can talk to me right. "
"I know shree. But I'm okay really. "
"I'm going outside then. I'll tell you what happens. Wait for me okay? "
"Okay mam. Jaenye ab ap. "
'Okay mam. Now go. '

She left closing the door after her and as laid on my back I thought about how it came to this.
I somehow knew this would happen. No matter how good Ansh was to me, we never matched no matter what you talked about, he talked too much and I wasn't much of a speaker, he was enthusiastic about everything and I wasn't interested in anything. No matter how you saw it, it looked like I was a strict older sibling with an overly bubbly younger brother. I had said to Mr. Sinha on the first day itself but he refused to believe me. So now this mess was on him, not me.
My attention diverted from my thoughts when my phone buzzed, showing a text from him,

V. D. : I heard that brat ran away.

Me: Yeah, I guess he got cold feet.

V. D. : Do you want me to do something.

Me: hmm. Just don't do anything.

V. D. : Alright. Just tell me if they irritate you.

Me: You know they stopped bothering me a long time ago.

V. D. : I know. Chl dhyan rkh apna. Bad m phone krunga utha lena.

' Take care. I'll call you later, remember to pick it up. '

Me: hmm.

Keeping my phone back on the nightstand I just closed my eyes and let sleep embrace me.

I guess it was after an hour that shreya came to my room with panic visible on her face. Tears were still running down her face as she came to me, " Adhya, let's leave. Parth already has the car ready. Change your clothes and we can leave. " Handing her a glass of water,
"Calm down Shree. Tell me what happened. " She gulped it like her life depended on it.

"Adhya, how can he do this. "

I knew who she was talking about without asking.
"What did he do? "

"He.. He.. " Before she could complete Ahaana was on the door.

"Get ready and come downstairs. Dad is waiting for you. Don't miss the muharat. "
Saying that she left, and I couldn't understand her meaning. Turning to Shreya I asked,
"What muharat shree, is Ansh back? "
And she motioned her head in a no.
"Then? "

"Ashutosh Uncle made a deal with the Singhanias. " She was still crying as she didn't complete her sentence.
It can't be what I am thinking, he can't do this to me. But as Shreya completed her sentence I knew how wrong I was. Ashutosh Sinha can do anything.

"Abhimanyu Singhania agreed to marry you. " And boom, just like that Ashutosh Sinha once again proved why he doesn't deserve the word father. He could trade his daughter just to save his name. I knew that Singhanias wanted a land that was under us but he would use this like that. Hah, what was I even expecting from him. Even as my eyes got red I knew it was the last time I was crying because of that man.

It took me 10 minutes to get ready. And as I made my way towards the mandap, shreya was still convincing me to run with her. " Adhya chal na. Parth, mein aur tu yaha se kahi dur chl jaenge. "

'Arya, come on. Parth, me and you, we'll go somewhere far from here. '

Parth is her husband, they got married last year, and as much as I wanted to get away from here I wouldn't do that on the basis on her leaving everything for me.

"Shree, I do have to marry someday right. Just think of it as an arranged marriage of old times. " She still wasn't convinced but I didn't give her the time to argue as I made my way towards the mandap.
I didn't look in his direction, I couldn't. I just say there as the priest read the mantras. Ahaana as my sister was called to do the gathbandhan and when Mr. And Mrs. Sinha came forward to do the kanyadaan I could see the happiness in their eyes. Not because their daughter was getting married but because she was finally leaving.
I don't remember anything else. But when the priest announced, " Aj se ap dono pati patni hue. "

'From today onwards you are husband and wife. '

I knew it was over. I was finally free, regardless of the chain on my neck, I was free of the shackle called blood. They did their part, it was time to do mine.
