Unknown POV
A man sat on the only chair present in the room while more than ten people stood before him, and two more by his right as well as one more person working on a computer.
He asked, to no one in particular, " Have you found it? "
" Yes. It's her. " The man in front of the people standing replied to his question." Hah. Twenty five years, real good, she managed to hide for too long. " Everyone present in the room shivered at the calmness of his voice and the next second a loud boom echoed across the room.
" Useless, what were you all doing? "" We're sorry sir. Someone was hiding her tracks. " One of the men said.
" For how long? "
" Tw- two years. "
" And before that. What about before that, she is still alive, living in my city and I had no idea. " His anger increased the more he said." Show me. " The man asked and someone handed him a picture.
" She looks nothing like her, she took over that basta*d of a man. Disgusting. " The picture got crushed but not before someone recognized her." Isn't she—" His question was interrupted by the person beside him.
" Shut up, don't say anything now. " The man sensibly decided to stop talking but their boss had heard him." Do you know her? "
The one who had recognized seemed to hesitate but he knew he'll lose his life either way.
" She was investigating us last year and found out about the trafficking chain. I instructed someone to hit her off. "" Oh, she was investigating me? Just like her mother, too curious, she never knew when to stop. " The man smiled as he remembered the woman but the smile soon got replaced by anger, " You instructed someone to kill her? " He asked and the person shivered.
He still answered, " Yes. "
Bang, a gunshot rang through the room, their leader's arm raised with a gun in his hand aimed at the spot where the man had been standing just a minute ago.
" Then why is she still alive? You'll destroy my name by not finishing off the job properly. Tsk. "No one replied to his words and he wasn't expecting any reply. Someone came to remove the body from their and in less than ten minutes the room was the same as it had been before, except for one less member.
" Where's she? " The man asked again.
And the person working on the computer typed something before replying, " Shergill mansion. "
" Oh, a reunion? Let's give her a meeting gift. "
Everyone understood what gift he was talking about and the person on his side left to make a phone call, " Announce his death. "Author's POV
As Abhimanyu and Aradhya made their way to the hospital she asked him, " How? "
" I don't know. They said nothing. " He replied and she looked out of the window.
They reached half an hour later and Rudraksh was already there." You're here. " He said and Abhimanyu nodded, meanwhile Aradhya just stayed silent, she had said no more than ten words since they left Shergill Mansion.
" What did they say? " Abhimanyu asked him.
" He died a month ago. Shot. " Ridra told them the report he heard from the doctor.
" A month? " Aradhya said, finally saying something.
" Uh hn. "" Then why am I receiving a call today? " She asked with a frown, her eyes were red and it looked like they would burst out any second. It could've been the sudden news, or the anger for this delay or the whole fiasco at Shergill Mansion but she was tired.
" They found the body today. " Rudra replied truthfully.
" That means he's been missing for a month? "
" Bhabhi—"She interrupted him and turned to Abhimanyu, " Did you know that? Have you changed the number? "
" Love—" His hand went forward to touch her but she stepped back.
" Don't, it's yes or no Abhimanyu. "
" I did but only because I didn't want them to trouble you any longer. "
