Aradhya's POV
I got up at 6 the next morning, he was still sleeping and I was glad for it because I didn't know what to do after yesterday. Deciding to think about this anytime else, I took out a saree from the closet and went to the bathroom. Aunty had prepared all types of clothes for me but I still decided to go with a saree today. It was a peach colored banarasi saree. I didn't want to tie my hair, so I just left them open, I tied the nupital chain around my neck and decided against wearing anything else. I paired it with round pearl earrings. Remembering what happened yesterday, I applied the vermillion before leaving the bathroom. I hadn't forgotten it yesterday I just decided to apply it after asking him, then I forgot about it.
By the time I was done getting ready he was up and was folding the blankets, rushing to him, "I can do that. "
" I can do this too. I have hands. And moreover you did it yesterday. It's my turn. " He said without even turning and continued arranging the bed.
" What turn. " I asked
" Like the sleeping arrangements. "
" Huh. "
"Yes and... " He turned and stopped whatever he was saying. The way he was looking at me made me feel nervous not because I was uncomfortable but because, I don't know." Is something wrong? " My question brought him back to earth.
" Ah, no. Nothing's wrong. "
" You were saying? "" Yeah, I'll be home early today. We'll discuss it after I'm back. " I knew what he was talking about without him clarifying it.
"Hmm."" I'll go get ready, wait for me okay? " And he looked at me like, he won't leave unless I say yes. So I nodded and he made his way in.
We were the last ones to arrive at the table,
"Good morning abhi, morning adhya. "
"Morning maa. "" Morning aunty. " We replied at the same time.
Breakfast was served and after we were done, aunty asked, " Abhi, adhya I wanted to ask you something. "
" Yes mom? "
" Hmm. "" The wedding was unplanned but we have introduce adhya to people. I can't let my daughter feel belittled. " I didn't think of it, even though I was prepared to get, they weren't. They didn't even know their son was getting married until ansh left.
" What are you suggesting mom? " He asked.
" A reception, just a small one to inform some relatives. " I didn't want to be in spotlight, not right now. And with the singhanias being as famous as they are it would be too difficult to stay in the shadows if a reception is done. Before I could make up an excuse.
" Don't worry mom.. People will know when it's time for them to know. Not right now. "
" But abhi.. "" Devi, leave them. Children have their own thoughts. " Uncle stopped her.
" Bhai let's leave. " Rudraksh said to him.
" Hmm.. Bring the car. I'll be there. "
He stood and like yesterday, greeted everyone but today he didn't leave he came to me." Take care, okay? " He asked cupping my cheeks, I nodded and he kissed my forehead before making his way out.
I stayed in my room the whole day, Samaira had gone to complete her admission procedure for her doctorate and uncle went with her. Aunty and dadi wanted to go to the temple, she asked me if I wanted to go but I declined. I needed time with myself.
First I sorted my future course of actions regarding them, just as I was thinking that there should be some news, my phone buzzed,
R. S. : It's done. When's the next one.
