Alone

Kai waking up to her normal routine getting ready heading into work. When she gets there she has a normal shift till about 2 hours in. She gets a call from her dad. "Yes dad?" She said kinda annoyed. "Kai..it's your mom, she...she finally did it" confused she asked. "Did what dad why do you sound sad that hospital was supposed to help her?" She said confused and worried. "She killed herself kai, I got the news this morning. She left a note saying that she loves you and that she's sorry." Shocked she starts to tear up. "No your lying, she would never say that! Your lying she's coming home right, your calling saying that she's on her way home right?" Her dad sighing. "I wish I was but she's dead Kai. I'm sorry" after she heard that she hung up not wanting to hear it anymore. "Breathe it's ok you'll be fine." She said trying to calm her self down. Calling lee know the only person she knows that will answer and listen to her. "Hello?" He said sounding tired. "Hey sorry I called I just need someone to talk to and your the only one I thought of" her and lee know were close enough for this not to be awkward. "Yea sure I'll be there soon close down shop we'll go out and talk ok?" He said worried, he always saw her as a little sister he never wanted anything bad to happen to her but they did. So he thought the most he could do is be there for her. "Thank you lee know" she said hanging up.
After closing up and waiting for lee know she sees his car. "Hop in and let's go I know a place" she did as he said feeling a little better being with him. Like lee know she saw him as a older brother and loved that he was always there for her. He pulled into a parking lot taking her into the restaurant. "Before you say anything let's order food and drinks I know it will be a long night for both of us" after he said that they both order. He order 2 cups and 1 bottle of soju. Kai didn't like to drink but she felt like she needed it tonight so she didn't argue. "Ok now slowly tell me what happened" she looked at him with tears threatening to fall. "My mom finally killed herself" lee know looked at her shocked. "She did? I'm so sorry" he said reaching to grab her hand to hold it. "I know, I didn't think she would" she said finally letting her voice break. "Hey how about we forget it and eat and drink ok?" Pouring her a cup of soju handing it to her. She instantly takes it and drinks it. "Yea I want to forget everything" she said while pouring herself another glass drinking it in one gulp. "Ok let's do that but carefully"
30 minutes later Kai's wasted and lee know can see it. " hey how about I take you home now you've drank too much" she looks at him nodding. "You know you have been more of a brother then my own brother." She giggles counting. "You were more family than my own family, my dads always gone jongho moved out I don't know what to do anymore" she started to cry. "Hey let's take you home if need be I can stay the night ok?" She looked at him again. "I don't know how to thank you for everything" she said crying harder. Lee know picks her up putting her in the car driving to her house. Opening the door he lays her down In her bed going to the living room and lays down on the couch. He's hoping that it will get better for her.
The next morning he wakes up to make her some hangover soup. She walks down seeing lee know and sits at the table. "Here eat this it will help with the hangover" she looks at it and slowly eats it. "Thank you for last night" she said looking at him. "It's ok, take a couple days off and rest. I know it's hard" he said hugging her, he wanted to cry himself for seeing her in this much pain. He knows how it feels to lose someone close. Hell he lost both parents. "Ok thank you lee know" she said hugging him back. "Ok well sadly I have to go, there is more soup in the fridge eat that and relax watch something on tv and relax ok" she nodded watching him walk out of the house. She sighs getting up to put her dish away and sit on the couch. Turning on the tv to relax.
