Chapter 1 💔

Chapter 1:-

We can see a man doing push-ups in a house gym, wearing only trousers, showing his well built body.

He is none other than Nawab Sidharth Ahmed Khan.

He got up and cleaned the sweat from his face,neck and chest.  After completing his gym routine, he decided to take a shower before heading downstairs.

He got ready in an office suit and went downstairs to the dining room.

He saw his family members sitting on the dining table.

He lives in a joint family which includes his grandparents, parents, his brother,his sister, his father's brothers, their wifes and their children.

At present, everyone is present at the dining table except  his sister Saba who is married to his cousin Adil.

Both Saba and Adil are out of town to attend Adil's best friend's wedding.

Besides them, there is one more person who is missing today.

She is none other than Shehnaaz Farhad Khan, younger daughter of his  chachu Farhad and chachi Bushra.

" Shehnaaz kha hai?"Sidharth asked them.

" Aaj uska last exam hai toh woh University gayi hai", Shehnaaz's mother said.

" Sidharth breakfast ke baad hamare room mein aana", Sidharth's grandfather said.

" Ji dadajaan", Sidharth replied.

After breakfast, Sidharth went to his grandparents' room.

" Sidharth yha betho hamare paas", Sidharth's grandmother said.

Sidharth went near them and sat on the chair.

" Aapko kya baat karni hai?", Sidharth asked them.

" Aaj Shehnaaz ka last exam hai. Jaise aapko pata hai ki aap ka aur Shehnaaz ka rishta bachpan mein hi pakka ho gaya tha aur ab waqt aa gaya hai ki Shehnaaz ko bi ess bare mein bataya jaye aur aapka nikkah jaldi hi kr deya jaye", Sidharth's grandfather told him.

" Jaisa aapko thik lage", Sidharth replied.

Sidharth knew about Shehnaaz and his engagement for a very long time. He may show that he doesn't have a special feeling for Shehnaaz in front of everyone but everyone knows that he has a soft corner for Shehnaaz.

Younger ones think it's because Shehnaaz is the youngest but elders know the real reason for it. But that doesn't mean he never punished Shehnaaz if she did something wrong like got less marks or bunk college with her friends.

After talking with his grandparents,he went to the office.

In the office, his assistant told him that he had an important meeting to attend in London tomorrow evening.

He wants to  be at home when their family talks with Shehnaaz about their Nikkah but he needs to go to London.

He went home to pack his bag before leaving for London.

In the evening, Shehnaaz's grandparents along with her parents told Shehnaaz about her engagement with Shehnaaz.

" Toh aapka kya faisla hai Shehnaaz beta", Shehnaaz's grandparents asked her.

" Jaisa aap sab ko thik lage", Shehnaaz said, looking at her hands.

" Khush raho", Shehnaaz's grandmother said, kissing her forehead.

Everyone in the family was very happy to hear this news. After all, two weddings were going to take place in the house.

Yes, two weddings!! Along with Sidharth and Shehnaaz, Sidharth's brother Asad was also getting married with Shehnaaz's sister Anabia.

Their wedding was fixed after a month. Sidharth was supposed to come back within a week from London but due to some emergencies,he was not able to come back for a month.

He is supposed to come back two days before the wedding.

Finally the day came when Khan  haveli  was Decorated for the wedding.

Firstly, Asad and Anabia had their Nikkah and then Shehnaaz was called for their Nikkah.

" Shehnaaz beta chalo", Shehnaaz's mother told her.

She along with Shehnaaz's female cousins brought her downstairs where everyone was waiting for her.

" Kya aapko yeh Nikkah qubool hai?"They asked Sidharth.

" Qubool hai", Sidharth repeated it three times.

" Kya aapko yeh Nikkah qubool hai?"They asked the same question from Shehnaaz.

Everyone was waiting for Shehnaaz to say yes but Shehnaaz didn't say anything.

" Kya aapko yeh Nikkah qubool hai?", They asked again.

" Nahi", Shehnaaz whispered, making everyone shocked.

" Shehnaaz!!"Shehnaaz's mother  said loudly.

Sidharth was shocked to hear her. He didn't expect her to say no like this. He loves her a lot and wants to spend his whole life with her.

He thought she also loves him at least like him when his family told him that she had said yes for the proposal.

" Shehnaaz beta yeh tum kya keh rahi ho?"Sidharth's grandmother said,not understanding what was happening.

" Mujhe yeh nikah nahi Karna hai", Shehnaaz said, with a straight face.

" But kyu?? Humne aap se puch kar hi nikah rakha tha?", Her grandmother asked.

" Mujhe bas yeh nikah nahi Karna", Shehnaaz said.

" But….", Shehnaaz's father tried to say something.

" Koi Shehnaaz ko force nahi kare ga", Sidharth said in his strict voice and went from there.

Sidharth was trying to show himself strong but everyone knows how much he loves her, how much he is broken inside after Shehnaaz's rejection.

" Agar tumhe yeh nikah nahi Karna tha toh pehle hi bata deti. Humne tumko tumhari marzi puchi thi na? Tum pehle hi bata deti iss tarah tamasha karne ki kya jarurat thi?", Shehnaaz's father asked, feeling disappointed.

Shehnaaz got up and went to her room without saying anything
