Chapter 3

Sana was sitting on the bed when Sidharth entered the room.

Feeling his presence, Sana was feeling nervous. She was waiting for him to come close to her and remove her veil according to custom.

She waited for a minute but when Sidharth didn't come close to her, she raised her eyes from her lap and looked at him through her veil.

" Sana!!"Sidharth said her name in his dominating voice.

Hearing her name on his lips, she felt a shiver running down her body.

" We both know in which circumstances our wedding happened. I am not going to lie or give false hope to you. I am not ready to give this marriage a chance right now. I need some time and space. That's why I am going to another country for my work. I don't know when I will be back", Sidharth told her and went outside the room, leaving Sana in pain.

Sana was crying hearing his harsh words but she knew she had no choice except to face reality.

She has become an unwanted wife to her husband.

She spent the whole night crying. She doesn't know when she slept crying.

The next day, she woke up early in the morning. Her eyes were red due to crying and she was having a headache.

In the morning the whole house knows about Sidharth going abroad last night without informing anyone.

Sana didn't tell anything to his family or her family, about what he said last night to her.

She just told them that he had some emergency at work, so he needed to go.

Six months later,

It had been six months since Sidharth had left his house. In these months, not for once he had come back or called Sana.

It's like he had forgotten that he had a wife in his house waiting for him to come back.

Many things had happened in these six months. Sana's brother, Karan and Sidharth's sister, Kavya, both of them are living happily together after their marriage. They are even going to welcome their first child into their family within a few months.

Sana's father had asked her many times to divorce Sidharth and move on in her life instead of wasting her life on a man like Sidharth, who doesn't care about his wife.

But Sana didn't agree. She had accepted Sidharth's family as her own. They also love Sana more than anything. Sana has become the favourite of everyone in their family.

For the past six months, Sana was used to taking online classes but now she must attend college for her last semester.

She needed to attend the classes offline for the practical work. For this, she needs to stay in the city.

" But Sana, how will you stay alone in the city?? ", Sana's mother-in-law said to her.

" Mom, I will stay in the hostel just like in the past", Sana said to her mother-in-law.

" No…No…it's not safe", Sidharth's grandmother said, shaking her head.

" We can do one thing…we can let Bhabhi stay in the house that we had in the city", Ronak, Sidharth's brother, suggested.

" Yes, it's a great idea", Sidharth's grandmother said happily, making Sana smile.

" But that house is under Sidharth. He stayed there when he worked in the city", Sidharth's father informed them.

" So what?? Firstly Sana is his wife, she has the right to stay in that house, secondly, he is not in the country and doesn't know when he will be back so she can stay there without any stress. Moreover, security around that area is very good. Sana will stay in that house only. It's my final decision", Sidharth's grandfather announced.

Sana was a little worried about Sidharth living in that house but she felt relieved remembering he was not in the country.

In these six months, Sana had gotten used to staying without Sidharth. Now it doesn't matter to her whether he accepts their relationship or not. She is happy in this family who loves her more than anything.

Two days later,

Shehnaaz went to the city along with her mother-in-law and brother-in-law.

They have gone with Sana to help her settle down in the new house.

One month later,

It has been a month since Sana is staying in the city. Her mother-in-law had returned to the Village after two days.

Here, Sana got busy in college without any worry. The House is built in a safe area with security at the front door.

Two housemaids come to the house to clean the house twice a week. There is no cook because Sana denies it since she is going to live alone and can manage to cook for herself.

One night, Sana was sitting in her room, completing her project.

Clouds were thundering outside and it was raining heavily.

Sana was feeling a little scared hearing the loud voice of thunder and lightning.

Suddenly the power went out, making Sana scared.

" Calm down Sana ...calm down…. it's nothing……Stupid woman!! Who had asked you to watch a horror movie, now suffer the consequences", Sana mumbled, cursing herself for watching the horror movie in the evening.

Sana was trying to find her cell phone to turn the flashlight on but found her cell phone dead due to the low battery.

Cursing herself, Sana somehow went to the kitchen to get the candle.

She was looking for a candle when she heard the sound of someone trying to open the main door.

Sana got scared when she heard someone's footsteps entering the house.

Sana hurriedly hid herself behind the couch in the living area.

Sana calmed herself and tried to see the thief from behind the couch. She saw the back of a well-built man, standing in the living area, trying to find something in his pocket.

Sana gets the opportunity and runs towards him with a vase in her hand to attack him.

The man suddenly turned around and held Sana's hand. He holds her waist with another hand, controlling her body.

" Leave me, you thief", Sana said, aggressively, trying to free herself.

" What the??", the man said, grabbing the vase from her hand and throwing it away.

He held both of her hands behind her back, holding her against his body, forcing her to stand steady.
