Chapter 1
" Maa, Papa…..I am back", Sana said screaming, while entering the house.
" Sana…..my child", Naina said, hugging her tightly.
"Stop crying, Maa", Sana said, wiping her tears.
" Princess", Manik said, coming close to her.
" Papa", Sana said, hugging her dad.
" How are you?"Manik asked her.
" Bilkul theek", She said, smiling.
Manik caressed her head, making her smile.
" Bs eske aate hi,mujhe bhul gaye aap loge", Rahul said, complaining.
" Because they love me more", Sana said, showing him tongue 😛, teasing him.
" tumhari favourite dishes bani hai, jaldi se fresh hokar aa jao", her mom said.
" Really!! I am coming in five minutes", Sana said and ran towards her room to freshen up.
" Dheere Princess", her dad shouted, fearing for her safety.
" She is never going to change", Her mother said, shaking her head while smiling.
After some minutes, Sana came downstairs and saw her mother sitting with a woman and a little girl.
" Maa", Sana said, coming towards her mother.
" Sana, come here", her mother said.
" Madhu ji yeh Sana hai meri choti beti aur Sana beta yeh Madhu ji hai, tumhari Soha Di ki mother in-law", Naina said introducing them.
" Namaste", Sana said, joining her hands.
" Namaste beta", Madhu said, smiling.
" Who is this cutie pie?"Sana asked, noticing the girl in Madhu's arms.
" Yeh Isha hai", Naina said to Sana.
" Isha….Soha Di ki beti….kitne badi ho gye hai", Sana said, emotionally.
It is the first time that Sana is meeting Isha and Soha's in-laws. Sana has not been able to come home for the past three years due to her studies. She was neither present during Soha's wedding nor when Soha died giving birth to Isha.
Naina's eyes also get wet remembering Soha.
" Come here, Baby", Sana said to Isha.
Isha eyed Sana for some seconds before forwarding her arms towards Sana, asking her to pick her up, giving Sana a beautiful smile.
Sana holds Isha in her arms close to her chest. Isha snuggle her head in Sana's neck, making Sana smile.
" She is so cute", Sana said, smiling.
Madhu and Naina gave her a smile.
" Isha baby,I am your Maasi, say Maasi….", Sana said to Isha.
Isha blinks her eyes twice before saying," Maa…Maa", making everyone shocked.
" It's Maasi beta….say MaaSii", Sana said trying to make her understand.
" Maa…", Isha said, giggling and hugging Sana holding her neck.
Sana rubbed her back, giving a helpless smile to her mother and Madhu ji.
" Come sit with me,beta", Madhu said.
Three of them start talking with each other, making Isha irritated at being ignored.
" Maa…. Isha….talk", Isha said, touching Sana's cheek, trying to gain her attention.
" Isha baby want to talk with Maasi??", Sana asked in a baby voice.
"Maa… ", Isha said, nodding her head and giving a kiss to Sana on her right cheek.
" Aww….so cute", Madhu ji said, clicking their picture on the iPhone.
Sana's eyes get wet feeling Isha's love towards her. She is feeling some kind of special connection with Isha.
Later, they went to the dining table and had their lunch. Sana makes Isha eat with her own hands, making Isha giggle again and again.
" Abb hume jana chaiye. Aap sab ka dinner kal hamare ghar par hai. Aap sab aayega, jarur", Madhu ji said while trying to take Isha.
" No…. MAA", Isha said, before holding Sana's dress tightly,not leaving her.
" Isha beta, chalo ghar jana hai", Madhu ji said, trying to take her but Isha was not ready to leave Sana.
" Isha baby,go with dadi. Main kal aaunge aapse milna", Sana said, kissing her face.
" Promisee Maa", Isha asked, blinking her eyes innocently.
" Promise baby", Sana said, making Isha smile.
Finally,Isha goes to her dadi and Madhu ji takes her home.
When Madhu ji reached her home, she saw her son sitting in the living room.
" Papa", Isha shouted seeing her father and started struggling in her grandmother's arms.
Madhu leaves Isha on the floor, making Isha run towards her father.
Her father picked her in his arms, kissing her forehead.
" Sidharth tum aaj jaldi aa gaye?", Madhu asked her son.
" Bs Isha ki yaad aa rhi thi. Aap dono kahan gaye the??"He asked his mother.
" Hum Naina ji ke ghar gaye the, tumhe pata hai unki choti beti Sana bhi wapas aa gaye hain, bhut hi pyaari bachi hai aur Isha toh usse bhut attach ho gye hai. Meine kal Gill family ko dinner ke liye invite kiya hai. Tum bhi kal jldi ghar aa jana", His mother said.
" Okay", Sidharth said, tickling Isha.
" Papa…..Isha ….meet…Maa….", Isha said in her baby voice.
"Maa?", Sidharth asked his mother, raising his eyebrows.
" Yeh Sana ki baat kar rahe hai. Ye usse Maasi ki jagah Maa bulati hai. Sana ne kha ki voh eski maasi hai but ye bas maa … maa…hi bulati hai usse. Maasi bhi toh maa jasi hi hoti hai, shayad iss liye", Madhu said, feeling sad for her granddaughter who has lost her mother just after entering the world.
" Hmmm", Sidharth responded and took Isha to his room.
