It was about close to 2:00 in the afternoon when River thought about something. On the way to their new house, she saw an ice cream shop that looked quite interesting.
She shot up, put on her white converse, grabbed her wallet and ran down the hallway.

Her mom shot her a suspicious glance when River reached the end of the hallway.

"Where do you think you're going young lady?" Her mom asked crossing her arms and raised her eyebrows at River.

"Oh I'm going to an ice cream shop that I saw on the way here. I'm craving some delicious ice cream so I thought I'd go" River said answering her mom's question.

"Okay fine but don't stay out too long now River" she said in a stern tone.

River just rolled her eyes and walked out the door without saying another word. She got her skateboard from the backyard and sped off.

Once River got to the ice cream shop, her eyes went wide with how cute the shop was.
She's never seen such an adorable ice cream shop in her life.

She walked in and was immediately greeted by this woman who looked to be in her early 50's.
She looked very sweet and kind.

"Well hey there suga! What can I get for you?" The woman said, making River feel welcomed and comfortable.

"Uh, I would like to have the Cotton Candy ice cream please"

"Oh I absolutely love that one! Would you like anything else suga?"

"Oh no thank you, that'd be enough for me"

As the woman was making River her ice cream, she was looking around and saw pictures that were of the 1950's, 60's, 70s', and 80's. It was so vintage.
She knew that she'd definitely come back here again.

"There you go now suga" the nice woman said putting River's ice cream out for her to take.

River was about to pay but the woman stopped her suddenly.

"Oh no honey, you can keep the money. Its on me okay? Oh and before you go, whatever is bothering you honey it's not always going to be there, okay?" The woman says kindly.

"Thank you. What's your name?" River asked a small smile coming on her lips.

"Rosetta. You?"

"River"

"That's a beautiful name now River. Oh and don't let anyone tell you anything about your style. I actually love the green and black hair mixed together. The black lipstick is to die for also suga"

"Thanks again Rosetta"

"You're welcome River"

And with that River walked out of the ice cream shop, heading back home. The place that she dreaded.
