River was trying to keep busy by doing things that she probably didn't even have to do.
Her parents were still not back , she didn't even really care to be honest.
She was just glad that she wasn't getting yelled at anymore.

She didn't know if her parents were going to come back or if they just upped and left but she doesn't think that they'd do something that bad.

River decided to go back to her room since she was bored as hell and still didn't know what to do.
She leaped on her bed, letting herself engulf the blankets.
She smiled lightly as the sun peeped in from her curtains and saw the stream of light in her room.

River was finally for once in her life, after a long time, happy. She felt like she could rule the world and nobody could ever stop her.
In all honesty, River didn't even miss her parents. They would always pick on her and every single 'flaw' she had.

River knew that she wasn't perfect nor her parents but she at least wished that they would be there for her and talk to her when she needed them, but they never did.
Its almost like they didn't even care about their own daughter, and that hurt poor River's heart.

She was only human and they brought her into this world, River never asked to be here.
Yet they treated her like she was at their doorstep one day and they had no choice but to take care of her.
That's exactly how River felt. In a way, she despised her parents now.

If River ever has children, she'll never treat her kids the way her parents treat her.
River believes if you don't love, accept, support, and be there for your own child,
you shouldn't even be a parent in the first place.

River got up and put some music on. She got her record player when she was 12, it was for her birthday.
Her friends mom got it for her and she's loved it ever since.

River dance around in her room to the music, twirling around and lightly giggling to herself. Yeah, she probably looked crazy but she hasn't felt this alive in a long, long time and it felt beyond good.

Maybe moving to Lexington Avenue wasn't so bad after all.
