There was an awkward silence inside the car, neither he said anything nor did I. It felt like, we had some sort of imaginary wall between us, pushing each other away. So, I sighed and shifted my gaze outside of the window, to focus on the passing cars and buildings.
Now, I won't say anything to him because I had said my part, I already told him about my feelings for him but he still did not care to acknowledge it, let alone talk about it. And, I'm not a fool to beg for it again. I'm done with this fucking drama now.
I was still looking outside the passing cars when his warm hand came to rest on my thigh, making me shiver slightly.
"You okay?" I just hummed in response, not bothering to give any reply.
He sighed."Why didn't you wear that pendant Ally?"
"I don't want to."
"I thought you loved ruby. Your taste changed or something? If it is, then...I'll buy you something else." He glanced at me.
"No, I still like ruby and you don't need to buy anything for me. I'm fully capable of purchasing things for myself."
"Still mad huh?" He smiled at me and my heart skipped a beat. Shit, why is he so fucking handsome? I immediately turned away from him, to look outside and to distract myself from his charms. He squeezed my thigh making me gulp. "I'm sorry Ally...for everything."
"Okay." I murmured, still looking outside of the car.
"Really?" I nodded. "So...are you...ready to come home with me then?"
"No."
"Why?"
"I just don't want to."
"Ally what is this? You don't talk to me, not even forgive me although I patiently apologised you like... million times that I even forgot the count." He muttered the last part. "I thought you liked ruby?" He questioned. "That's why I fucking brought it for you. As an apology gift and you even refused to wear it, let alone taking it. How will I make it right for you, if you don't accept my apologies huh?" He raised his voice a little and I flinched.
"You don't have to make anything right. Okay?" I snapped at him. "I have accepted the truth of our relationship already and now..." My voice cracked because of the tears ready to escape from my eyes any second. "I'm ready to compromise." He turned and stared at me wide eyed.
"What do you mean?" I didn't reply.
"Alysia what the fuck do you mean by that?" He gritted his teeth in anger. "Don't fucking ignore me."
God, He doesn't understand, did he? Here, I am trying my best to not to ruin his mood on his big day but he really knows how to push me and how to make me a complete mad and angry woman.
"You told me that I'm just here, in your life, to play a mother figure for Sam...nothing else right? Well, now I'm aware. I understood it the hard way but now I'm aware of my place...my importance..." He opened his mouth to say something but I continued again. "And you don't have to worry, I'm working on myself too, to move on from those feelings. Those fucked up feelings which my heart developed for you." I finished and turned away from him not bothering to wait for his reply.
