Chapter 13: A secert is out

Slight angst

"Me?!" Ace replied, obviously acting oblivious. Riddle looked at him with eyes telling him 'why'?

"Yes you! You showed Azul a recording of MY unique magic! Why would you do that?!" I yelled, actually ready to punch him. "Ain't my fault we would be the first to see it! It was interesting too! It's not like you're gonna get hurt."

I widen my eyes, nearly lunging at him before Riddle and Cater pulled me back. "Woah! Aesira calm down!" Deuce said, standing up. "Trey, get Lilia over here!" Cater said.

"You don't know what it does, though! I'm not going to get nearly as hurt as you and others could!" I stated, ready to pounce his ass. "Lilia and Leona are on their way." Trey said, putting his phone down. "Aesira, calm down. I'll go make you something to eat, okay?" Trey ran to the kitchen to make something. I breathed in and out, but Ace wasn't scared. Riddle and Cater led me to sit down. "What do you like?" Trey asked.

"Sorry.." was the only thing I could manage as I looked at Ace, who clearly looked confused. "What's your favorite dish?" Trey asked, rephrasing his question. "It's not really a dish but a drink." I murmured. "Well? What is it?" Cater said. "Dango Milk."

Lilia and Leona got there. "Huh? You said he was about to fight herbivore?"

"Ace."

"I don't give a fuck grandpa."

Lilia looked at Ace. "How did you make him mad?"

"Uhm.."

"He recorded Aesira's unique magic."

"Ace!" Lilia and Leona yelled. "Hm? What's soooo dangerous about it?"

They couldn't answer that. I had just gotten my Dango Milk and was sipping contently. "Should we get Jamil as something extra to make sure he doesn't actually pounce Ace's ass?" Deuce said. "That snake.. fine." The lion snarled.

Jamil got there with Kalim soon enough, and everyone was in silence until my cup was placed on the counter. It sounded louder than it actually was. "Alright, let's resolve this like civilized people." I got up after Lilia said that and walked to the lounge area. I sat down in a chair across from Ace.

Taking a deep breath, I looked in his eyes. "This is going to be your second lecture, Ace. No one gets a second lecture from him."

"Second?"

"Yeah, he scolded him last night." Deuce said.

"Let's get this over with." Ace rolled his eyes while saying it. "Alright then. Ace, why did you record it?" Riddle said, same intent as Ace.

"I already said this. We'd be the first to see it, I literally don't understand how something like that is so dangerous."

My eye twitched, but my fake smile remained. Everyone did agree: how could it be dangerous? "You brought Riddle back from an overblot with said magic, so I don't see how dangerous it is."

The attention was on me now. My mouth and eye twitched. "Did you not hear what I said after I got him back? I said I tried something new. Not that I used it like usual."

"Then what does it do?" Ace said, now annoyed. "It didn't hurt him, didn't hurt you, didn't hurt anybody. It won't hurt knowing you're a hero."

My breath hitched and I was now staring at him with a look of 'Why the actual fuck would you say that?!' Everyone could tell I were stressed by this question, but they didn't know why.

"What will it take to get that answer out of you? Please tell us how much harm it will bring. Why are you stressed? Hm? What is it made for?"

"You're pushing the limit."

"Guys, we should stop attacking each other with personal attacks." Kalim said, leaning to you two. Jamil pulled him back, telling him now wasn't the time.

"It's just questions. Please, answer them." Now, my legs were crossed over each other, and I was folding my arms. "You really wanna know?"

"Yes, I'm genuinely curious."

I looked at him with a look of pity, as if I was actually sad. "It's meant to.." my voice became quiet, but Lilia and Leona heard it. "Hm?"

"It's meant to kill people, or put them in agonizing pain! Ya happy!?" I yelled without thinking. "I'm so sorry!" I covered my mouth after I yelled. Ace looked confused but reassuring. "Tell us more.." the hesitance in his voice was there, but he didn't let it stop him.

"No. I'm leaving. Now." I go up basically fast walking to the door. Without a second thought, I left.

ONCE AT THE DOOR

"Are you okay?" Silver and Sebek asked until they notice your messed up eye liner and makeup. "What happened?!" Sebek yelled. You flinched and walked to your room, sniffling. They let you be because, well, you were basically crying. They would comfort you later. Jamil, Leona, and Lilia followed you while Kalim went back to the dorm to keep an eye on things.

They could somewhat hear you crying until you entered inside. After a minute, they entered as well. "Hey father.. and friends." Silver said. All three looked worried. "What happened?" He asked them. All they could do was look away, almost in shame. "He ran to his room without a word if you're looking for him!" They all sat down on the couch and talked amongst themselves. Slowly, you creeped out your room and, without them noticing, went to Malleus's. You knocked slowly and quietly. He went to the door to open it. When he saw you, he let you in immediately.

The state you were in was certainly different. Your hair was a mess, and so was your makeup. You were obviously crying. "Y/n? What's wrong?" He only called you that if he was serious.

You started sobbing. All the pain you held in for years letting out. "The-y'd hic never hit understand." He didn't know what to do but bring you close to his chest and comfort you closely. "It's okay.." he said, rubbing circles. You sobbed in his shirt, almost not stopping. The people in the lounge room (Silver, Sebek, Lilia, Leona, and Jamil) could hear small sobs and so they quieted down to hear.

"Calm down a bit." Lilia and Leona could hear better than the others, so they were basically translating silence to words 💀. "It'll be okay. Breathe.." Malleus told you. He never really had to comfort anyone, so you were a change.

You were always a change for him. You paid attention to him, checked in on him on your own will: as a best friend.

You calmed a bit, ready to talk. "What's wrong? You can just vent." He said.

"They'll never understand. As much as I'm friends with them, I can't let them know. They aren't supposed to know!" You clutched his shirt as if he'd leave. "Know what?"

"My Magic. It would hurt them.. I don't want them hurt." He rubbed your back again in circles. You were tired now so you got off his lap, under his covers with him,and cuddled into him. You were little spoon and he was big spoon. As soon as he knew you drifted to sleep, he kissed your forehead. By now, the 5 were done trying to listen. The 2 already left and the other 3 were heading to bed.

"Ah, he hasn't eaten." Malleus said aloud. "He'll eat in the morning."
