Chapter 27: Oi beACH

(Guys I completely forgot what I wrote prior it's been MONTHS. I am so sorry, I'm just so unmotivated...)

As I neared the school, I bumped into a large chest. Damn it.

"Sorry-"

"Y/n?" The sound of Leona's voice filled my ears, and I peered up at him.

"Hey kitty.." I smiled, and tried to maneuver my way around him, but his fairly large body blocked my way.

"Kitty? Haven't heard that in a while." He chuckled, grabbing my wrists.

I flinched, but let him do so, soon relaxing.

"So, Ruggie and Jack wanna know if you are coming over.." he continued, but I couldn't hear him.

"Mhm. Sure." I nearly broke my neck looking up at him, but his sincere smirk was worth seeing. No, Y/n you need to stop it. You'll only hurt him by being near him.

But I can't help it...

I was having an inner war with myself; distance or admiration? Fuck. Is it even admiration at this point?! Y/n, you can't keep lying to yourself...

"Great! See you at 4 later?" I nodded at his reply, steadily walking into varying, dark halls. The thoughts rambled and rambled, 1000mph.

I took a shaky breath, gripping my hair as I walked through the crowd. Gradually, the people that walked with and against me began to blur, eyes and face disappearing. They all bent and contorted together, bending in mysterious ways.

My chest rose up and down in panic, the faces and people causing my breathing to vary. My hands fiddled with my hair even more, pulling at it. Their eyes.. I can feel their eyes. The stares. Stares. Endless staring... endless judgment.

My breathing got heavier, like a weight that just won't leave.

"Get to a bathroom," my thoughts yelled, to which I obeyed. Turning a sharp corner, I saw a restroom that seemed to be empty.

I hovered over a sink, shoving water on my face to calm me down. Stop panicking, you have no reason too.

Of course I have reasons to! I mean, I'm just so confused... so, SO confused. Everything is so strange and just concerning.

Small tears rolled down my face in frustration, gripping the sides of the sink. My knuckles turned white, similar to that of snow.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Y/n?!" I whispered, looking up to stare at myself in the mirror. With a flash, and pang of fear, my instincts kicked in.

Broken glass shattered on the floor, knuckles red and bloodied. The glass surrounded me, blood spattered with it.

"Y/n?" My head shot up, staring at Jade.

"J-jade!" I chuckled nervously. "I can explain!" I waved at him to excuse any negative feelings he had.

He walked closer, making me flinch. When he arrived in front of me, he took my hand and gave it a kiss. Then, he took out a handkerchief to wipe the blood off.

"I'll get a custodian. Until they get here just go to the lounge. Azul was given a day off to tend to things since he caught up on all his studies."

"I-"

"Please. I'll meet you there once I get the custodian, okay?"

"Thank you, Jade." He pulled me into his embrace, showering me with warmth.

"Now, go. I'll just say some freshmen were messing around."

"Mhm." I began to walk away, my destination being the lounge.

Once I arrived, I pushed to the inside, scanning for either Flyod or Azul.

"Y/n?" I whipped around to see Flyod hanging over me, his insane height being intimidating per usual.

"Jade sent me here."

"Ohh~ then let's hang out!" He suggested, which how could I say no? After all, I may distance but they deserve to have some time with me; even if it's just for a day and I'll probably end up never talking to them again.

"Alright."

Well, we ended up sitting in a booth with Riddle, Azul, Ace, and Kalim.

I noticed Crowley enter the lounge, which he seemed to see my instantly.

"Y/n!" He yelled, getting the attention of the 4 sitting with me.

"Ah, headmaster!" Riddle said, with great respect.

"I nees to see you. Hello, Rosehearts."

I sat up, walking with Crowley as he ushered for me to follow him.

After a few minutes of silence, he spoke up. "Are you alright?" It was quiet, nearly hard to hear. I froze, but nodded.

"Muffin, please don't lie..." he took my hand, and placed his own on my shoulder.

I stared in his eyes. "No. I'm not, dad." I put it bluntly, which he frowned at and continued to talk.

"Jade tried not to speak about your outburst this morning. Tell me about it."

"Dad, I..." I paused, staring anywhere but his face now. "I'm just so confused. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm, honestly, scared."

"Muffin, if anyone is hurting you, tell me."

"It's not a person." I looked back at him, placing my hand atop his placed on my shoulder.

"Huh?"

"I'm just so fucking angry, and upset. And I don't know what to do anymore. I'm so scared about the future I can't even focus on anything. I'm so scared about possibilities and truths that I can't help just crying every time I think about it. I'm so angry at myself, and I'm so fucking upset that I let my gaurd down, or I burdened any of you. I'm so damn.. just so.. so.. ugh! And my friends- I cant tel whether or not its admiration i feel for them now or something else!"

"Y/n, whatever you are going through, we can get through it together, okay? That's what real family is for. That's what your friends are for. We took you in because we love you dearly. You should come to me more, I'm your dad. I'm meant to help you. And so is Crewel! Okay?"

"Thanks, dad." I pulled him into a hug, gripping the back of his shirt as if I'd be torn from him.

"WHEN WILL YOU TELL HIM?!"

"Not yet. I can't. I won't let him be taken away, either."

"But he will learn eventually. Everything comes to an end, and he is figuring that out."

"I have RAISED him since he was young! He is our child! How could you say that..."

"He isn't ours, he is hers. I love him, too. He is practically our own: but he isn't. He never was and never will be."

"HOW DARE YOU-"

"THE KID DESERVES THE TRUTH! She is coming, and whether or not he makes the right choice is his."
