The huge wave Lockwood sends up plunging into the water douses over me. I shriek and jump in after him, feeling the warm golden sand under my fingertips as I swim after him. His strokes are long, graceful and easy while mine are faster and harder. There are cons to being much shorter than him.
George sits on the dock, feet swishing through the water as he flips through a comic book. Lockwood is headed straight for him. I shout a warning and George puts down his comic book, rubbing his glasses on the edge of his shirt, looking around at me. I signal frantically, but Lockwood pulls him down into the water. George thrashes around at him in fright, then realizes it's Lockwood. "Of course." he sighs, polishing his drenched glasses on his just as wet clothes.
3rd Person P.O.V
Lucy pulled herself onto the dock, Lockwood swimming in small circles around the dock. She sat there, staring up at the bright blue sky, humming slightly. She didn't notice George creeping up behind her until he pushed her off of the dock. Lockwood was just swimming underneath the dock and the only warning he received was a scream before Lucy toppled onto him, flailing her arms around. George watched smugly. This was the revenge he was looking for.
Lockwood plunged under the water. He felt Lucy's arm brush his, and he grabbed her, dragging her to the surface. Lucy hoped Lockwood couldn't discern her embarrassment at her awkward flight. Getting nearly half-drowned OF COURSE didn't help her complexion. Lockwood tried to hide his own slight blush and flashed his familiar grin at her. "You alright, Luce?" "Fine," she mumbled, quickly pulling away and heading back to the dock. George groaned and collapsed on the edge of the dock. "Shame." the skull commented. "Really wanted to see Locky over there get an atomic wedgie." George cast it his *bombastic criminal-offensive* (sorry I had to) side-eye. "This must be the first time we've ever had an agreement."
