"Dain! Dain! Let me out goddammit!" I screamed as I pounded on the door with my bare fists. That red haired stubborn dwarf locked me up in the treasury of the Iron Hills and I think I know why he did it.

Two days before, I recieved a letter from Thorin, saying 'It's time'. I immediately understood what it meant. We're going to reclaim our home, Erebor.

Now I sit here and think what to do. Maybe I can escape through that hole in the corner? No, I think it was sealed a long time ago. If I don't come to the meeting, Thorin will not gain the very much needed armies to reclaim Erebor from Smaug. It's bad that Thorin doesn't know I'm here. That bastard Dain, his cousin, wouldn't tell him anything. He doesn't want me there. When I spoke to him after the letter about the meeting arrived, he said that I should not meddle in this, even if I am a very respected queen among our kin. I remember that conversation very well.

*Flashback*

People were rushing everywhere. Getting past the crowd may have proved to be difficult in the past when I was young, but now it was so easy for me. I quickly glided right and left to pass the people, because a few minutes before one of my closest friends, Galthor, told me that a letter had arrived from Ered Luin. I quickly thanked him and proceeded going to Dain's chambers. Sorry KING Dain's chambers. He became the ruler of Iron Hills after his father Náin the second died. Ten years before he called me here to help him in politics and I won't tell what those problems were. They are irrelevant.

As I neared his chambers, the guards standing on guard nodded at me and opened the door. As soon as I entered his grace engulfed me in a bear hug, which I heartily returned.

"It's good to see you [Y/N]! What brings you here today?" he asked me after finally letting me go. He motioned for me to sit in chair covered with softest furs. I raised my brow at this, but still obliged.

"Nothing so serious really. I just wanted to talk about the letter you recieved from my husband, Dain" at this he stilled. I knew he was hiding something from me and I'm good at discovering the truth about very secret things.

"What? You swallowed your tongue?" I taunted him, "I know the letter arrived to you this morning."

"And who might I ask, told you about this?" he studied me carefully, " It was your friend Galthor, wasn't it? I knew that he would be sly and cunning enough to break into my bedroom and see the letter. But no matter. Yes, I indeed recieved a letter from Thorin, but it's not important, it talks about the trade between our cities."

I laughed loudly at this. Dain was never a good liar nor was he now. I could see right through his lie.

"Do you think I'm that stupid, Dain? Thorin would never send a letter about trading. He has a steward who does it instead of him," I take the letter from the table,"This letter bears the Royal Durin seal. This letter is very important Dain, I need to know what is written in there!" I say into his face. He furrows his brows, but doesn't answer.

A few minutes of utter silence pass, until he starts speaking again. This time his face is very serious and he speaks in a hushed tone.

"Thorin calls for a meeting of the seven dwarven clans. He wants to reclaim Erebor from that bloody fire drake! If you ask me [Y/N], I think this is madness. No one would stand against the fire-breathing dragon." he pauses and I take it as a sign for me to speak.

"Dain, I already discussed this with him. We ARE going to reclaim it!" I say yet murmur under my breath "Even if die in process." But I know he heard it anyway.

"Don't underestimate yourself [Y/N]. You and Thorin are the best dwarven rulers since a long time ago. You never gave up on protecting our people, you always cared for them and in turn they started respecting you both. The life is hard and only few survive it through."

"I know and that's why I'm going to this meeting. I need to persuade the other six lords to lend us their aid. I'm not about to give this up, Dain. We're going to reclaim Erebor from Smaug, even if I have to kill him myself!" Dain turned around and gave me a stern look.

"No, you are not. I won't allow you to this meeting."

"Why? I am a queen Dain! You have no right to deny me that! I'll be there even if I have to knock you out." I snapped. I rarely lost my patience, but this wasn't the time and I became very angry.

"If you don't want to to this the calm way, I'll have to do it in another way. Guards, restrain her and lock her up in treasury!" He ordered. The guards proceeded to take the hold of my arms. I didn't protest, because I knew I wouldn't escape so easily.

"What?! Let me go, NOW!" I gave Dain a fierce glare, but he turned his gaze away from me. The guards took me out of his room and threw me into the treasury.

I try to think of a way to escape this blasted room. I look up at the ceiling and see a ventilation hole, big enough for me to fit in. I smirk. Oh, when I get out of here, you won't escape my wrath, Dain.

To be continued.....

Well, an idea came up to me and made it real. It didn't take much time for me to write this and I hope the second part will be written as easily and quickly as this one. I hope you all enjoyed it guys, vote and COMMENT,
