Escaping through the ventilation isn't the most pleasant thing at all. As it proves to be difficult to move in such small places in a dress, I tore it off. It's good that I always wear my tight leggings underneath my dresses, in case of an emergency.
As I walk through the narrow passage while crouching, a few bats fly past me. Quite disgusting really, but what can I do about them? I shake my head and move forward. I'll get to you Dain, I swear it! You always forget that I have escaped from such situations before, even though some of them were quite dangerous. I bet that, once Thorin knows, he'll knock the hell out of you. The meeting must have started by now. I need to get there as fast as possible, because Mahal knows what Dain can tell them about me.
A bright light is shining at the end of the passage. Finally this escape is over. I think I will always start having lockpicks with me, even if there's no any unpleasant circumstances. As I near the end of that ventilation system, I quickly jump out of it and while using my acrobatic powers, I swiftly and softly land on the ground. A few dwarves turn to look at me with baffled expressions. "There's nothing to see, turn around." I reply to them in Khuzdul and they immediately go back to what they were doing before.
I spot Galthor near the stables and wave him over.
"Why are you all dusty [Y/N], did Dain do something bad to you?" he asked with concerned look in his eyes. I look around to see if anyone is listening to us.
"Dain locked my me up in that bloody treasure of his, that's what he did! At first I started pounding my fists on that damned door and of course he didn't let me out." I explain to him. What I didn't expect from him, was a chuckle.
"But , as I can see, you found an escape route anyway, didn't you?" he said.
"Aye, I did. Had to go through an old ventilation system, but I bought my freedom back anyway, so....." I wave with hand in the end, but Galthor understands.
"Right. Now,I think you might want to proceed going to the meeting. It has already started, so you need to be quick. Good luck to you in confronting Dain, miz azbad" he tells me before he turns around and leaves.
Not bothering to change out of my dirty outfit, I quickly run to the Grand Hall, where the meeting took place. When I reach the door, the dwarves guarding it block my path.
"You cannot enter the room, King Dain's orders." one of them says. Restraining my anger I tell him as calmly as I can. "I don't care if he ordered you to stop anyone from entering that room, but I need to go inside!" the last few words become a shout. They look at me, scanning from head to toe and finally one of the guard's eyes widen. They recognize me.
"Oh, lady [Y/N], I'm so sorry for stopping you, please go right inside." he apologizes, but I just brush it off and push the door open with a force.
The heads of the dwarves, sitting at a large oval shaped table, turn towards me. From the corner of my eye I see Thorin, looking at me with bewildered expression, but once he sees the anger on my face, his look turns into a questionable one.
"You think you could lock me up Dain? To keep me from entering this meeting?" I yell at him, "Well, you're wrong." venom drips from my voice and I see that the guards behind me, are shuddering from it.
"What is the meaning of this Dain, explain!" asks the leader of the Firebeard clan. The other seven lords turn their heads towards him now. Dain's face and posture don't show that he is worried, but I know that deeply inside, he's squirming like a pig who sees a knife in front of it's face. Come on Dain, tell them why you did it?
