August cursed loudly as she was thrown into a wall, coughing up fake blood and holding her ribs as if she was in pain, looking up at the beach ball in fear.
"And... Cut!"
She left character almost immediately, standing and rubbing her back. The mat that was there to cushion her fall did barely anything, but she was glad it was there nonetheless.
Her friends rushed over, attacking her in a hug and congratulating her, "You are seriously so talented," Sadie commented, making August blush.
"So are you guys, I mean seriously." She chuckled and shook her head. "Is it just me or it is really hard to be scared when it's a man with a beach ball hanging from his head like an antena?"
They all burst out laughing and she grinned in success and went to the snack table. August picked a bag of crisps, sighing gratefully at the taste. It mixed surprisingly well with the sweetness of the fake-blood in her mouth.
The Duffers came up to them not much later and smiled, "We haven't had a chance to congratulate you yet, August. Well done on winning best supporting actress at the oscars!"
"Thank you," She blushed at the attention as the older cast began piling in. She sighed in contentment as Winona and David hugged her, tearing up a little bit.
Her parents could never.
"Good luck on the set of Spider-Man."
August couldn't believe that it was her last day of filming Stranger Things 3 already. It felt like just yesterday she was 16 and caught in a film scene, stepping onto Taylor's private jet after being kissed goodbye by Sawyer. It felt like just yesterday when she was drunk at her sweet sixteenth, jumping up and down in glee as she realised that she had gotten the part she'd auditioned for.
Her phone went off and Winona handed her it (she had given it to the woman for safe keeping whilst she filmed her last scene) and she grinned at the notification.
"Is it the boyfriend or the girlfriend?" Caleb asked teasingly, making August roll her eyes.
"The best friend," She clarified, texting Conan back before slipping her phone back into her pocket, "I hope you guys aren't too tired because I could really do with some ice cream. On me?"
"I won't say no to free ice cream," Gaten shrugged.
"Did someone say ice cream?" Joe Keery asked.
"No!" All of the younger ones exclaimed, making him raise his hands in defence.
