An hour later after Bella showered and changed, she walked down to the workshop with Pepper. Tony sat at his desk working on something.

"Hey. You guys busy? You mind if I send both of you on an errand?" They both looked at him expectantly. "I need you to go to my office. You're going to hack into the mainframe and you're going to retrieve all the recent shipping manifests." He handed Pepper a USB stick. "This is a lock chip. That'll get you in. It's probably under Executive Files. It not, they put it in a ghost drive, in which case you need to look for the lowest numeric heading." He looked to Bella. "That's why I'm sending Bells with you. She'll know what to look for."

"And what do you plan to do with this information if we bring it back?" Pepper asked him, although she already knew the answer.

"Same drill. They've been dealing under the table, and I'm going to stop them. I'm going to find my weapons and destroy them."

"Dad..." Bella shot him a concerned look.

"Tony, you know I would help you with anything, but I cannot help you if you're going to start all of this again." Bella never heard Pepper so worried before.

"There is nothing except this. No art opening. No benefit. Nothing to sign. There is the next mission, and nothing else." He raised his voice.

"What about your daughter Tony. In case you forgot about her." Bella raised an eyebrow at her father.

"Don't you understand, I'm doing this for her."

"Is that so? Then I quit." She put the USB stick back onto the table and began to walk away. Bella watched her go. The woman who was like a mother to her. The woman who had raised her and loved her more than her own father.

"You stood by my side all these years while I reaped the benefits of destruction. And now that I'm trying to protect the people I put in harm's way, you're going to walk out?" Tony guilt tripped her. Bella just stood there, trying to process it all.

"You're going to kill yourself, Tony. I'm not going to be a part of it." Anguish filled Pepper's features.

Tony sat down in a chair and took a deep breath. Then in a quiet voice he spoke. "I shouldn't be alive, unless it was for a reason. I'm not crazy, Pepper. I just finally know what I have to do. And I know in my heart that it's right."

Pepper slowly walked towards the table and picked up the USB. "You're all I have to you know." Bella's face lit up. She wasn't quitting! "Come on Bella."
