Magni was the lookout for the Upinzani. And their means to get away and cover their escape. Thanks to his weather powers, he learned from his mom on how to generate a fog so thick, their chasers wouldn't be able to know which way they might have come.
When they escaped to their hideout, he watched as the mutants that were older than him unload the supplies and weapons. As well as info on their enemies. Info that can prove useful.
The group was big and their hideout is highly guarded thanks to Magni and his mother. Though the former felt bored on not taking on most of the actions this time. He always preferred to fight over escaping. But this was his mom's way of keeping him safe as he's not sure if his body is durable to handle more gun fire.
Storm can see so much of herself in her son. And... and his father. And yet she can not only see how powerful he's becoming within a few years, but she can see something is bothering him. "una nia gani mwanangu? (what is on your mind, my son?)"
Magni sighs and looks at his mother, whose hair and eye color is matching his mom's. "kwanini usiniambie kuhusu baba yangu mama? Je, yeye ni binadamu, au ni kama sisi? hata yeye anajua mimi nipo? (why won't you tell me about my father, mother? Is he human, or is he like us? does he even know I exist?)"
Ororo wished she can tell him. About what or who his father is. How much powerful he is. And... how much he wants to meet him in person. But she swore not to. Not yet at least. "Yahya, najua ungependa kumjua baba yako. Na nataka kukuambia. ninafanya kweli. Lakini siwezi. Bado. (Yahya, i know you wish to know your father. And i want to tell you. i really do. But I can't. Not Yet.)"
"basi utanieleza lini mama? nisubiri hadi lini uniambie? (then when are you gonna tell me, mom? how long must i wait for you to tell me?)" he asked being persistent. Magni had been wanting to know about his dad. He knows every kid has dad. Well... most do. Not just a mom, but also a dad. And for reasons why some dads (not all) are not in the picture, is because of a number of reasons. And Magni is trying to figure which one it is. And it seems his mom might know. But she refuses to tell him.
"mwanangu, nisikilize. nitakuambia. kwa wakati. utaelewa siku moja. (my son, listen me. i will tell you. in time. you will understand one day.)" feeling unsatisfied, he leaves and joins his friends, causing Ororo to sigh. She hates to keep secrets from her son. If only she can tell him about his father. Not only tell him what and who he is. But where he comes from and what he will bring should anything bad happen to his son.

Magni is doing well in The Mutant Underground of Atlanta. He made quite the name for himself. Often known as The Bringer Of Storms or Black Lightning and finally The Storm God.
