CHAPTER 5
Well I did put my things away, took out my clothes, made my bed, brought out my books and pictures, then hit the shower. I was shocked by how easily I slept.
I probably would have slept till the next day, but was awakened by the sound of consistent knocking.
I panicked, remembering Dre's promise, then groaned to my self
"that bastard, no means no."
I could hear them whispering, they stood outside for over thirty minutes while I laid under my covers praying for them to give it up already, they finally did.
I stayed inside the entire evening, not ready to face anyone, was it cowardice? Well yea, would I admit it? Hell no.
Morning came too soon, and I was startled awake by the loud chime of a huge bell? Oh well, one cannot evade one's destiny forever, time to grab the bull by the horns, I mean bravery is not the absence of fear but the ability to move in spite of it right? Just then a knock startled me, and shook me from my reverie.
"Come out Paris! I have given you enough time in there," A voice shouted and I cursed, brushing down my purple chin length wig.
"Come on Dre, give me a damn minute," I yelled back, quickly tucking my white uniform shirt into black pants, grabbed my back pack, and matched to the door swinging it open. I met Dre leaning casually against my door looking like a million bucks.
"Damn Paris, wasn't it black yesterday?" He asked gesturing towards my head.
"What? you like?" I teased him, wiggling my brows suggestively, he just sighed.
"Whatever, let's go already," He said, walking ahead of me, with a sigh I followed him, wondering once more where everyone was, it was not even quite eight yet, surely not everyone was that punctual right?
One thing I could say was something was definitely not right with this place. Immediately we walked outside, everyone froze, yeah you heard right. They stiffened, eyes dilating at the sight of me, and man was I ready to run.
"Stay close and don't worry, nothing will go wrong if you just stick with me". Dre assured me, and It was not enough.
"What do you mean wrong?!" I asked alarmed.
"Did I say that? I meant just chill its all good, now let's get you to class," He told me, patting my head affectionately.
We successfully made it to class. I had not even had first period, and my nerves were already strung taut.
Everyone I met had given me a first look, a second look, then a double intake, and I wanted to say a lust filled glance, but no. It was hunger, pure unadulterated hunger, the type a starving man would give a plate of chicken, but I was no chicken, or was I? At this rate I could not tell anymore.
"Good morning class, this is Paris Bakari, a new student, and he is not like us so behave yourselves alright?" The teacher ordered, before ushering me to my seat.
"He is not like us? What did she mean by that?" I wanna say she was being racist, but this school seemed to be very diverse so far, so what had that statement meant exactly?
I took a middle seat, and was disappointed to see Dre move to the back, oh well. taking a look around, I finally settled down.
I opened my textbook, more than ready to get down to those equations, they were the only consistent thing in my life, and right now they were actually the only thing I could make head and tails of.
I was just getting into it when the door opened and the most gorgeous boys I had ever had the pleasure of seeing stepped in.
"Ummm, you are l_l_late." The teacher stuttered. The first one to step in, a golden haired boy bounced forward.
"Sorry Miss Jones, we didn't mean to arrive this late". He said and beamed. His beauty was blinding, radiant.
"Yeah Jones, we had something very important to do this morning, and I can't say it had nothing to do with breaking numerous hearts," The second boy moved forward, placing his hand on his heart with a wink that actually made the teacher blush, and grinned a roguish grin.
He was gorgeous, with electric blue hair covering his eyes, tall, maybe six ft two, svelte frame. With mischief in his eyes and heartbreak in his smile.
"Speak for yourself you idiot," The third one finally spoke up and I literally gasped. In my defense, every girl in the class had similar reactions.
He was the perfect definition of dark and alluring, with long inky black hair, and equally dark eyes with a trace of darkness underneath. His hair was tied up in a man bun, and he had on a dark coat with a dark turtleneck underneath. His whole aura screamed danger and I was hooked.
"Its fine, you can take your seats now," The teacher concurred, obviously flustered.
They complied moving forward, with the blue haired one nudging and whispering to the golden haired boy who gasped and blushed deeply, shooting a girl at the very back a shocked look. The third one just moved slowly and as he passed me, I found myself holding my breath, hoping he would glance at me, and yet very afraid he might.
Well our boys finally arrived 😍 what do y'all think? Pls like and comment.....byeeee
