CHAPTER 13
I eventually agreed after deciding my trip home could wait for a few more hours, and bounded downstairs with the boys. I mean Luca was coming and Elijah! Something about the coldness of his eyes, and the aloofness of his manner intrigued me.
What I saw when i arrived downstairs however shook me to my core. Everyone was literally present and just hanging around, I turned to Noah.
"Why did you not tell me everyone was coming?" I asked with wide eyes. He simply stared back with a confused expression.
"But we told you everyone was coming," He replied tilting his head to the side, and his wide golden eyes innocent.
"Well yes. But I thought you meant everyone like us, not everyone as in half of the whole school!" I whispered furiously.
He flinched back and I sighed. Kyle just ushered us forward into the very center of the crowd. They whooped as we crashed in.
"Hey guys, you coming?"
"Why is the human here?"
"Is Paris coming as well?"
I could hear them asking those questions, and suddenly I was not quite sure I wanted to go anymore. We approached our group and they let out even more yelling as we drew closer. Dre approached me with a smile.
"You came? How did they convince you?" He asked, eyes crinkling with laughter.
"By withholding important information," I said, looking at the two from the corner of my eyes. At least they had the decency to look ashamed.
"Well no harm done, Glad you came lil guy," He smiled at me, and I looked up with a grin.
Someone squished me from behind, nearly cutting off my air supply, I turned to Bob with a groan.
"What did I say about squishing me so tightly Bob?" I asked with an arm stretched out to prevent him from moving closer and doing more damage.
"That you don't like it, so I have to stop?" He asked, with a mischievous grin.
"You did not agree, so what was the final decision?" I asked again. He cocked his head back with a hum.
"That I have to give you a signal of sorts so you can prepare yourself," He answered still grinning, I grinned back and he spread his arms wide. With an eye roll I stepped into them.
"Why do I have to come along? I have never gone before, why must I now?" Dante's voice rang out as Ashton dragged him forward, and Luca followed with a sleepy smile on his face.
"Hey Dante, Ashton, hi Luca," I greeted with a large smile on my face. Luca immediately came to stand beside me, and to everyone's amusement, Dante rushed after him.
"What's up Dante? You alright?" Dre asked with a grin. Dante scoffed, his black hair ruffled and falling into his eyes, glasses askew as he frowned adorably.
"He is crazy, keep him away from me," He muttered glaring at Ashton, who wiggled his eyebrows with a mischievous grin.
"You know, I noticed you have a knack for exaggerating certain situations," Ashton mocked, his blue hair shining, and sapphire eyes sparkling. His laughter was so infectious that everyone echoed it.
"So where are we going exactly?" I asked, bouncing on my feet.
"A hunt, we are going for a hunt," Ashton answered, looking straight at me, just then every eagerness evaporated from me.
"A h_hunt?" I stammered, everyone shifted uneasily, the festive atmosphere dying.
"Exactly, but you may stay back if you wish," A voice said behind me, and my heart lurched for a reason I ignored. Instead I turned to him with a frown.
