After waiting for her Ella arrived. "Sorry guys but I was across the town." Ella said panting. She ran all the way to here. "Don't sweat it Ella glad you made it." Zuma said. She smiled then turned towards Marshall. "What happened Marshall?" She asked. "Well you see I tripped on my paw and ended up landing on a rock and I have cracks on my spine." Marshall responded. Everest put her paw on Marshall's then looked at him with a worried look. "It's sad to think something like this can happen to someone so nice like you Marshall." Ella said. "It's a shame really." Everest said in response. Ryder stepped aside to make a phone call while Jake lifted Marshall and put him inside his truck and Everest jumped in next to him. "Poor Marshall." Skye said in a sad voice. Marshall was like a brother to her. "It's okay Skye. He is going to be okay." Chase said nuzzling her.

They waited a few minutes for Ryder to finish the call and he finally did. All the pups and humans entered their vehicles and started their engines when Chase smelled something. "Stop the engines!" He yelled out. All of them stopped the engines. When asked about this Chase said he smelled something. The smell then got backed up with a howl of pain. "Someone is in danger." Ryder said. "Jake please take Marshall to Katie. She is waiting for him. Ella go with them." He continued. Jake and Ella nodded and restarted the engines. And drove away. The rest of the pups started investigating. Skye used her jetpack to find what was howling from above and sure enough she saw the reason for the noise. "Ryder a little wolf pup got stuck in an other bear trap." She said in the tag. "Got it! Land near him but keep your distance and look out for other traps." Ryder said. Skye looked around but no trap was to be seen so she landed. This staggered the little wolf but he couldn't really move. The pup was almost as big as her she being slightly bigger than him. He had white fur and odd eyes, one being red and the other one blue. "It's okay buddy. Help is on the way." She said trying to calm him but as she said this something caught her eyes so she went closer to what she seen. In the meantime the rest of the team arrived. "Rocky disarm the trap please. Chase be ready to subdue the pup if he goes ballistic." The two nodded and Chase got his net ready while Rocky approached the wolf. "It's okay little dude. I'm here to help." Rocky said. He started working on the trap. It was an older model that required more work to disassemble. "I wonder where the parents are." Rubble said. "This is a good question dude." Zuma responded. Skye walked back from where she went traumatized. "What's wrong Skye?" Ryder asked. She just pointed to where she came from and said: "I think I know why was he alone." then she started trembling. Ryder walked confused towards where she was pointing but once he saw what she did he walked back and hugged her. "It's okay Skye it's okay." Ryder said. Nobody had the courage to ask what did he see.

Rocky worked for a bit and ended up freeing him. The mixed breed jumped back to keep his distance from the wolf. The little pup looked at his paw that was badly injured then turned his gaze towards Rocky. The wolf pup limped to him then nuzzled him. Rocky patted his shoulder then like a switch was flipped the pup started howling then smelling and walked towards where Skye was before. "What is he doing?" Zuma asked. Skye followed him then the others did the same. After passing some trees they all saw the parents of the little pup ripped apart. Chase smelled the air and said: "There was a bear here not to long ago." The little wolf sat down and howled in sadness. Skye sat down next to him then hugged him and the pup returned the favor. "We should get him to get his paw checked." Rubble said. "We should but who will he travel with?" Ryder replied. Skye let him go and volunteered for the task. "Are you sure Skye?" Chase asked worried. Chase was always protective about her but this was something else. "I appreciate you care so much about me but I was the one who saw his parents in this shape first. I can't imagine how sad must he feel right now. I just want him to feel better." Skye said tears in her eyes trying her best not to cry. Chase's heart dropped. He put his forehead on hers and said: "I get it and understand you. Be safe." Skye whipped her tears and looked at Ryder who nodded. Skye told the young pup to come with her. The wolf did not understand what she was saying since she seemed friendly he followed her. Skye let the youngling enter the helicopter first and she did the same right after. "Now don't be afraid little one. This is going to be unusual for you." With that she started the engine and her vehicle took off. Their decision: the veterinarian. A.K.A Katie.

They were halfway to their destination when the little wolf became accustomed with flying but now he started howling for his parents. "Poor thing." Chase said. "He misses his family. How can a wolf pack let a youngster alone?" Rocky asked. "No idea pups. For now my question is what do we do with him after he gets his paw treaded?" Ryder said. "I don't know Ryder but we can't let him back into the wild. He barely looks 4 months old. He would not survive alone." Skye said. "I agree with her on that one." Chase said. "Why don't you try to tame him? We can use someone like him when he grows up." Zuma suggested. Ryder thought for a second then Skye interrupted his thought process. "Ryder before you say something I need you to know that I will not let this pup alone. If he has to go I go with him." Rubble chuckled a bit and said: "Looks like Skye has gone serious Ryder." then accelerated so he was under her. "Skye. Don't you think you got attached a bit to much to that pup?" He asked. Skye gathered the wolf pup's attention and also talking to the others declared that she will be his mother. Ryder just smiled as did Chase and Rubble. "Just like when I became a member of the team." Rubble said. "Her motherly instincts have kicked in full gear then." Chase continued. "I remember she so protective with you Rubble. She made it hard to train you. It's nice to see this side of her again." Ryder said. Up in the helicopter the pup put his paw on Skye's. She looked at him and asked for the other one. A bit of processing later the pup did what she asked him and put his other paw instead of the other one. His paw was one and a half times larger than hers and blood running down on it from the wound. "We are close little pup...let's call you Snowball. Your wound will be treated soon enough." Skye said. "This is not a bad name for him." Ryder said this last thing before finally arriving to Katie.
