chapter 15

"Who says she can't afford this place?" until a loud deep voice rang out grabbing everyone's attention.

I turned around at the voice and my eyes enlarged seeing Taehyung walking in our direction while tossing his phone back in his trouser's pocket.

He stood beside me and wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer to him.

And that simply stunned me. I froze at my spot, with my eyes still wide open, unable to blink.

"Mr. Kim...", she uttered, in astonishment.

"So what were you saying?", Taehyung questioned, raising an eyebrow at her. He had that cold, stern look on his face as he looked at her.

"I-I was...", she stuttered, for a while trying to find words and again went silent. She just stood there in utter silence and lowered her gaze, noticing how scary his eyes looked.

"Where is your manager?"Taehyung looked away from her, and his eyes started wandering around the store in search of the manager.

"Mr. Kim, I am s-sorry..I was not aware that this lady was with you..", The woman tried to explain but got interrupted.

"So is this your way of greeting your other customers?"Taehyung raised another question. And she went speechless.

"I-I...", she stuttered.

Her heart pounded against her chest as she stared in speechless terror. She wanted to say more and defend her behavior, but her throat was tight with fear, leaving her voiceless and helpless.

"Mr. Kim", a voice boomed across the room, calling Taehyung's name out in front of everyone. It was a voice that grabbed everyone's attention. The voice was soft and melodic.

And there stood a lady, she was a vision of beauty, with long flowing hair that cascaded down her back like a waterfall. Her eyes sparkled like diamonds, and her smile would light up the darkest of rooms.

I couldn't take my eyes off her as she walked in our direction. She stood before us and when she finally spoke up again, it was with gentle grace, "How can I help you, my lord?", she asked, looking at Taehyung with a beautiful smile formed on her lips.

"It's nice to see you again, Ms. Nora", Taehyung replied, and her smile widened. "I am glad to have you here as well", she replied and turned her gaze towards the sale's woman beside her who had her head lowered by now in fear. "I think my employee made a mistake", she added, before looking back at Taehyung.

"I will apologize in her stead. She is new here and is still learning if you can please pardon her", she lowered her head in apology in front of Taehyung while he stood still in his place, unbothered.

"It's not me to whom she should be asking for forgiveness ', Taehyung replied with a stern face, every word was measured and deliberate.

Ms. Nora looked up and soon her gaze shifted towards me, making me gulp. I was still stunned by the beauty standing across from me.

"Ask her to apologize to my girlfriend and maybe she will consider forgiving her", Taehyung spoke up, as he looked down at me making me finally take my eyes off Ms. Nora.

"This is your girlfriend?"Ms. Nora stood there, stunned. Meanwhile, the employee from before had her mouth hanging open in disbelief as she looked at me. Her eyes were wide and unblinking, and she seemed to be unable to comprehend what she just heard.

I mean...I don't blame them...it's unbelievable I agree. Just look at me...anyone would be stunned.

I stood there awkwardly thinking to myself. As I watched Ms. Nora, I could see the shock slowly giving way to confusion, and then she was back to normal.
