—#[continuation of Y/n’s pov]:
I wasn’t walked out of Lucas's house; I was being dragged. Jungkook’s hand was like a vice around my wrist, dragging me through the cavernous hallways like I was a piece of stray luggage he was reclaiming. And knowing his temper, I didn’t fight it. Because what was the point?
The air around him was electric with a fury so dense it felt like walking through a storm itself. I just let myself be pulled, not even caring about the fact that my feet were scrambling to keep pace with his long, punishing strides.
The entire way, I could feel eyes on us. Lucas’s guards who were stationed like statues along the walls, their gazes followed our jarring procession. Quick, furtive glances that skimmed over Jungkook’s impenetrable back and then landed on me.
And with just those glances, I could already feel the weight of their silent judgment, their assumptions which had already started clicking into places. The mistress. The problem. The woman who had just caused trouble between the brothers. And the shame that it brought along, burned my cheeks, so I kept my head down, my eyes fixed on the stark, polished floor, wishing it would swallow me whole.
When we finally burst out into the harsh daylight, he marched me straight to the passenger side of his car. He didn't wait, nor did he stop a second, before yanking the door open, his grip on my wrist finally loosening… but not letting go. It was just a pause. And then a silent, furious command hung heavy in the air without him having to speak it out: Get inside.
When I immediately didn't obey, he waited a few seconds for me to get in on my own like it was a test of my compliance.
I could read his rage in the tense set of his shoulders, in the heat of his skin against mine. I knew the cost of defiance. So without a word, I slid into the seat, the cold leather felt like a shock against my skin.
The moment I was in, he slammed the door shut. The thud was so final, so violent that it made me flinch. I watched through the windshield as he rounded the car, his movements were sharp and efficient like a predator on a short leash. He slid into the driver’s seat beside me, and the atmosphere in the car instantly turned to ice.
Five minutes passed. Then ten. Twenty. Twenty-five.
Not a single word had been exchanged between us.
The silence was worse than any shouting. It was heavy, accusatory, filled with the echoes of what had just happened. And it reminded me of another time, the day when I had accidentally answered a call from his father. The cold, detached rage that had followed later had been terrifying.
But this…? This felt different. Much deeper. At the party, the tension between him and Lucas had indeed been low, threatening hum, but it was also handled carefully and with peace. But today? It had been a scream trapped behind clenched teeth, suffocating and raw, showing exactly how their thoughts differed.
It was enough to make one wonder what kind of history did they have that a simple invitation could have triggered a reaction like this?
Before I realized it, my gaze had shifted. I stole a glance at him from the corner of my eye, trying to figure out what was going on inside his head. But the sight that came in my view was… unreadable as usual.
He was like a statue of contained fury. His eyes were locked on the road ahead, unblinking. One hand gripped the steering wheel, the knuckles white. The other rested on the window ledge, his index finger curled against his lips, as if physically holding back words. But his jaw… his jaw was clenched so tight I could see the muscle leaping beneath the skin. He was miles away, trapped in a battlefield of his own thoughts, and he’d brought all the anger back with him into this silent, moving cage.
