I was standing on nothing concretely, around me everything was black.
"Hue?" I called my sword, but no one replied.
I looked around and I sighed. My hand slipped through my brown hair, rubbing a little bit to release some of my frustration "I can't really lose myself in these situation all the time" I told myself annoyed.
Some noises captured my attentions. As soon as I turned, black magic fire tongues slipped around my arms and my neck, holding me tight, making it hard to breath. My eyes opened up, trying to shout, but everything was useless.
"So noisy"
As I opened my eyes, I noticed that I was in a bed, and someone was keeping two fingers on my front.
"H-Hue?" my cheeks became red as I noticed him laying next to me, with his usual white hanfu and long dark hair all over the bed. He smirked and I covered myself even more with the the bed sheets.
"Good morning my lady"
My husband will kill me.
"What are you doing in human form?" I asked under the sheets, while he was playing with one of my strand of hair.
"My lady, this body of yours is terribly weak, if I come back as soul fragment of yours your recovery might be more delayed" he stand up, making me get out from the bed sheets "Finally we can talk" he said while walking towards the big window which was facing a lovely garden.
I stand up a bit, noticing I had bandages around my chest till waist and around my arms. I was wearing a simple white vest, definitely better than the one the people from Arthus lands gave me.
Seems like I was in one of the official houses, don't really know why. The houses of the generals were placed away from the city center, but still high on checks from guards as manor of one of the "important" helping hands of the generals of the Alliance.
"I have been here already" I sighed, looking towards the window. There was a beautiful zen garden that was separating the house from the curved walls with some circular windows that were facing the streets of the city.
"My lady" Hue made me look at him as he was smiling "Was there a place in the city you've never seen?"
I smiled, nodding a bit. After all it was my city, how could I even have doubts.
"This body is suffering to contain the power of your soul" he started talking, while I was looking at my arms "When you got killed.." he looked at me, while crossing his arms, with a cold and serious stare "They knew who you were" he said making me opening up my eyes surprised.
"The Lion's Muse"
"The Eternal Breeze Daughter"
"The Mother of Luofu"
"So many names, yet, they knew they needed to use a lot of power to kill you" he laid on the little balcony of the window, while some rays of light were playing with his dark hair, making them look brighter "It was very well planned, but they probably didn't know about me"
He sat next on the bed and looked at me "They tried to kill you, shattering your soul, to be sure you would be never be able to heal"
"How did they know I had the healing power?" I asked and he stopped for a moment.
"I don't know" he replied, making me sigh, totally confused "So I took over your body and decided to give them what they wanted" my eyes locked on his glacial stare "I had to shatter your soul to avoid the assassins to feel your energy anywhere for years and be sure to say you were dead... The soul of Soulmasters is more dynamic than normal humans, the vital energy is so versatile in order to deal with many obstacles.. But the last hit... it felt like... the same power level of mine hit me" he said while I was holding the bed sheets, feeling an emotion close to madness rising from my inside "It was hard for your soul to recover, shatters were all over the regions" he looked at my hand holding the bedsheet and he laid his hand on it, making me stare at him
