I don't remember much of what happened after Jing's words.
Everyone stayed in silence and proceed to end breakfast in order to get to the carriages and get safe back to their cities.
"Oi oi General" Luocha had his arms crossed next to Jing who was looking at the last carriage, leaving the manor "You definitely will make lady Rin have nightmares for a month"
"I had to do it" Jing sighed and smiled softly once he met Yanqing's golden eyes
"Father, I do trust you did it to protect her, but don't mess up with my teacher, got it?!" he asked as he pointed the finger at him
"YanYan wanted to claim her and would have annoyed me with that little daughter of his" Jing laid his hands on his own hips "I think no one will dare to come next to her as she's under my protection"
"Haven't you thought the Cult will target her?" Luocha asked him and Jing smiled at his friend.
"She tried hard not to be... But I do think they do not think of her as dangerous as Fen was... They did target Fen in order to attack me with none who could counter them" he looked at Yanqing "I am sorry I didn't warn you of my decision, my son". Yanqing looked at his father's eyes and he didn't know how he had to feel in that moment.
"Father... I am not a child" he was a little bit embarassed "But... does this mean... You're planning to treat her as... that thing?" he asked and Jing tried to appear mad to cover his embarassment
"I won't go further on my explanation... I just want to keep her safe" he coughed under Luocha and Yanqing's apathetic stare "Anyway, let's get back to work...Luocha, please try to figure it if our suspects of the spy in the manor are valid" he then looked at Yanqing "Please, do not make a mess because of your aunt"
"Father, why do you call her my aunt... She's so awfu..."
"There he goes my favourite nephew" Yanqing froze once he had Kumiko's hand on his shoulder "Were you trying to escape from the duel?"
"Huh? Duel?" Yanqing asked and Kumiko looked at him with a smirk
"You father told me I am allowed to test your skills in a special training today"
"What? I don't want to train with her, I'd rather go to the academy!" he cried out and Jing sighed. Sometimes Yanqing would act like he's the most wise, some others he would act more like the age he has.
"You little prick... If you think Bai Hu is stronger, then how you think you can train with her if you can't bear with my skills?"
Yanqing gnashed his teeth "FINE! But after today I want you to go back to the clan and shout to grandpa I am not going to be there even when I am dead!"
Kumiko smiled evilly under Yanqing's worried stare. She looked always between insane and sane. Compared to his mother, Kumiko looked like someone who would kill without even caring a bit. She would enjoy even the blood on her clothes and face.
She was like a demon compared to his mother.
But that was probably because she was his mother, Kumiko was more like an enemy along with everyone from his mother's clan than anything else.
"I hope you have this energy when fighting, let's go my little nephew" she pinched his ear and started to pull him to the training ground under Luocha and Jing's stares.
"She's surely... a type" Luocha laughed "Kumiko is alwayd between good and bad side towards you"
"I guess it's because she loved her sister, but disliked me because Haru didn't make her meet Fen and of course I was the one to blame" Jing smiled "Anyway, have you seen Bai Hu?"
