"How the hell did you reach me?" Kumiko shouted on her horse as she noticed me and Jing riding the horse next to her.
"The horse of the Commander is quite faster than yours of course" Jing explained with an obvious stare as I was looking at her with an evil smile and my arms crossed proudly.
"I actually did threat the horse"
Kumiko almost fell off the horse once she noticed Hue appearing behind her on the horse.
"What the... Get off my horse!" she shouted and Hue crossed his arms, staying perfectly in balance on the horse without even trying.
"Noisy" he muttered "Where do you want me to stay? On air?" he asked and Kumiko tried to keep her focus on the road even though Hue's voice making her shiver
"I mean you could! Get back to your owner" she shouted, making Hue stare at me with flaming eyes
"My lady decided to ride with that man, don't you think I am also disappointed?!" he said as he exposed his mad and a little bit childish stare under Jing's annoyed one.
I smiled innocently as Jing looked at me "Does he always talk about me like this?"
I laughed nervously, feeling quite uncomfortable as I was alternating my stare between Jing and Hue, both mad at each others but still looking at me for a fair reply.
"No!" I looked at Jing, but then I turned to Hue who looked at me, raising a bit his eyebrow "I mean, yes" I looked back at Jing, who tilted his head "...sometimes?" I looked up at the sky for a moment "It's.... It's not the time!"
"Of course it is not" Jing said and I punched him on the chest with a grumpy stare.
"I wish she did that but with her powers" Hue sighed and Kumiko nodded
"Me too"
"Also..." Hue looked at Kumiko who was still looking at the road, trying to trace any ice soulmaster strings to be sure they were still fighting "Not my owner, but my lady" he said with an obvious tone, pointing the finger at me and Jing smiled innocently
"Calling another man's woman, my lady" He called him out and I looked at Jing with a deadly stare
"Yes" he said with an apathetic stare "Do not worry, General, if I wanted to make her stay in the permafrost forever, I would have done it before you two met" he said with an obvious tone, making me looking at Hue with a sorta of nostalgia.
I remember when I was with him in my childhood
I remember when he smirked and offered me his hand and ice was forming on my feet, making me freeze on spot as his hand was reaching out for me
"Do you wish to be one with the permafrost, Fen?"
My blue eyes were looking at his ice eyes as a cold wind was aggressively moving our hair inside his home; the core of the Eternal Breeze mountain.
I was surprised by his words... Back then he was the only one I had talks with as my father was focus on Kumiko's training. My training was always either forgotten or simply delayed. Even though I asked many times to be sent to Luofu soulmasters academy, my clan always forbid me. Hue was weird.
Hue was simply someone nobody thought he would have stopped himself from killing anyone stepping in his home.
Probably it was destiny, we still think that, but in my childhood he was occupying a big spot in my mind and heart.
I remember I smiled and his smirk disappeared "You're my master, if this is the only way to be with you, I don't mind, but you got to promise me you will keep teaching me the beauty of the ice soul arts"
Hue at those swords opened up his eyes and I guess it was one of the few, very few moments he laughed.
"You're... a reckless child" he said as his hands touched my hair and the wind stopped moving, and the ice, that almost reached my upper body, disappeared "And noisy.." My blue eyes were looking at him with warmth and he was smiling softly "You're an interesting human, Fen"
