35. Eye of the Storm

Some rays of the sun were playing with my self control as my eyes, even though they were closed, were getting definitely irritated by the light.

I mumbled annoyed like a dying body, as I tried to slip out of the bed to go and cover the window with the curtains.

"Hmm" I could feel Jing's arm quickly wrapping around my waist to pull me back on place. I mumbled something I couldn't even translate and Jing replied with the same mumbling.

Good morning conversation.

Literally, noises and sounds closer to those of animals than humans.

"Where did you want to go?" Jing spoke in a human language as he was keeping his eyes closed and his hand was caressing my belly covered by the night vest.

I yawned a little to then look at his messy silver hair being all over the pillow and some strands were even on the front of his naked chest, not much covered by the bedsheets. No matter which time of the day I would look at Jing, he would always look like an Aeon himself.

"Spacing out about your husband?" he asked huskily, making me smile once he opened his eyes a little to look at me with a smirk.

"Indeed" I replied as I was giving up on the idea to stand up from bed, and enjoy Jing's embrace "I was thinking about how Master Jing Yuan looks so beautiful"

Jing laughed a little "Do not speak like you're back at hiding your identity. Not your Master, I am your husband" he corrected me and I swear he looked like a white lion cub in that moment. I laughed a little, he then leant towards my front to leave a soft kiss as his hand was caressing my hair "Good morning, Fen" he said to then smile as he saw me closing my eyes to his affectionate kiss.

"Good morning, Jing" I said to then laugh as he held me tight and closer to him to kiss my cheeks and reach the neck "S-stop, it tickles" I said to then pinch his cheeks to make him stop.

He smiled softly as he hugged me tight. I was surprised a bit as I really felt his grasp being really strong around my body "Jing?" I called him to then close my right eye as he kissed me on the cheek to then snuggle his nose against mine "Hey, calm down you lion, are you trying to take Mimi's spot?" I asked as I laughed a little

"Would be foolish of me to refuse to be on his spot as he gets food and your attentions the whole day" he said to then sigh "The sun is rising too fast"

"We're back to work together, do not keep that face like you're sad" I pressed my lips on his for a soft kiss, and he smirked to then lean and kiss me passionately, pushing me a little as he slowly got on top of me.

"Jing, no!" I said as I was laughing to his kisses on the neck as his hands were caressing my shoulders to keep me there.

"M-Master Yuan and Lady Yuan!"

Me and Jing stopped from kissing and I started to silently punching him to move aside. He looked at me under him and sighed a little bit annoyed "Yes?" he said calmly to then smirk at me as I was blushing a little since he wasn't moving from that position.

"We got new reports about YanYan's movements inside the city! We recorded as requested his movements, we left all the reports in his studio, I came here because I got told anything about the General YanYan was on high priority so I..."

I did laugh a little as I could hear some embarassment in his voice.

"I see, thank you so much, I will soon check on them" Jing raised his eyebrow as he couldn't hear any footsteps "... You may leave"

"Oh, yes! Of course master Yuan!"

"These people..." Jing had for a moment his lips moving a bit along with his eyebrow like a nervous tick. I laid my hand in front of my mouth to then laugh at his expression "What?"
